As Violet tells her story, Ruby is mentioned to have spotted Sunny supposedly stealing the cardigan, with her and Skyler running up from behind and stopping her from leaving, accusing her of stealing it. They both seem to hate Amaya, being best shown during Amaya's audition for their play. River dating Amaya is probably is what fueled this distaste. During this they accuse Amaya of being jealous of Georgia, claiming she doesn't want River to kiss her. Laurel later accuses Amaya of sabotaging the play. In the animated series, her Series 1 appearance was used with her hair being much shorter. Also in the show, she has rainbow streaks instead of a rainbow under-color. In her Series 2 appearance, her hair is shown to be mostly blue with a few streaks of other colors such as yellow and green.

Ruby appears with her friends who are all excited for a special snow day at Rainbow High. Before they go out however they all have to work together to set up a special dance party at the school, with Ruby also working at The Rainbow Union too. When she finally meets with her friends, she learns they left Poppy on the ice alone, causing her to panic and lead everyone out to save Poppy. Ruby makes a small appearance, saying she couldn't believe that Jade and Amaya joined Laurel and Holly's' play. After Amaya accidentally writes her name on the other paper, Ruby gives advice on what she should do and helps her out. Bella and Avery became close friends when they bonded about feeling unsure of their friendships, with Avery opening up about Ainsley shutting her out. To mend their feelings, Avery takes Bella out on a joy ride in her car, bonding them and cheering them both up.

Amaya's Series 1 doll was a Toy Book 2021 Doll of the Year Finalist along with all of the other Series 1 dolls. The bow on her headband is place on right side on her doll, but in her artwork and animated series the bow is place on the left side where her side part is. Continuing to work on the runway project, Ruby reminds her group that if they fall behind, they are done for. She later attends an escape room activity hosted by her advisor Ms. Morton, where she works with her friends to figure it out. After figuring out the escape room, Ruby and the rest of the girls remind Jade of how appreciated she is, and all the girls let Jade give them special makeovers. While not interacting much, Karma is shown to appreciate Bella, wanting her to come on her show and tell about her reentry to Rainbow High. Bella is shown to be quite flattered, and she mentions that she is a huge fan of Kontent With Karma. The two seem to converse regularly after this. Like most of her friends, Skyler was rather awkward and uncomfortable around Amaya when she first came to Rainbow High, seeing her as Bella's replacement. This opinion did change however when she learned of Amaya's impressive talents in fashion, a skill they both shared. Their relationship grew even more when they started to team up on designing outfits for their group, working together to design all of the runway outfits.

Ruby and Bella were fairly close friends before Bella's initial expulsion from Rainbow High. Along with Jade, Ruby was one of the ones most effected by Bella's leaving. Once Violet posted Bella's expulsion online and it went viral Ruby helped Jade come up with a plan to get revenge. Ruby was happy to see Bella return to Rainbow High, with Bella happily accompanying the other girls to surprise Ruby after her first shift at the Rainbow Union. She is proclaimed to be the most talented first-year fashion designer that Rainbow High has seen in a long time.
