As I said at the start this is my second read in the series and both have been hugely enjoyable, so much so that I am off to hunt out the missing books in the series.

During this period he also began his political career. Between 1967 and 1970, he served as a Councillor in the Greater London Council. He went on to become Member of Parliament for the constituency of Louth under the Conservative Party. He had an eventful political career amidst allegations of fraud and much apprehension at his ability to be a leader. Running parallel to this is the story of a jailed criminal with an interest in fine art, and a private collection that would make many green with envy. Another fantastic novel from Archer and has left us on a cliffhanger with a new book promised next year. I, for one, can't wait.

William turned bright red, while his number two, Inspector Ross Hogan, stifled a laugh, causing Artemisia to burst into tears. The Princess leant down again, took the little girl in her arms and said, ‘Because I’m not a Queen, Artemisia, just a Princess.’

I hope you won’t find the museum too disturbing, ma’am. The occasional visitor has been known to faint,’ he said. They entered a room whose dim lighting only added to the macabre atmosphere. THE UNPUTDOWNABLE NEW THRILLER FROM THE BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE CLIFTON CHRONICLES - PERFECT FOR FANS OF KEN FOLLET, JOHN GRISHAM and DANIEL SILVA I am on 6th book of the Clifton chronicle and love all. Just finished listening to HEADS YOU WIN. Is there a sequel to this book? I want to know what happens when Sasha and Alex arrive n Russia! Reply Combat breaks out; Bernie is stabbed and dies. Danny is blamed for his homicide in a well-orchestrated plot by Spencer and his friends: a famous actor, an aristocrat, and a younger property agent. 5] A Matter of Honour (1986)A few weeks after birth his family moved from London to Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset. This is where he spent the better part of his early life. Mr Archer attended Wellington School in Somerset from the year 1951. He successfully concluded his O-levels studies with focus on History, Art and English literature. Thereafter, he got a variety of jobs where he served in different capacities. At two different schools, he worked as a physical education teacher where he focused on training students in a number of sports including fencing. At some point he also underwent training with the police and army. Later on, Jeffrey Archer furthered his education to be qualified as a teacher. But the plot was good, I liked the layers, and the twists and turns, the characters and how they interacted with each other and I was especially pleased when the book ended satisfactorily, with all questions answered.

Fascinating, Chief Inspector, would be a better description of the past hour,’ replied the Princess as William accompanied her out of the museum. Up until the nineteenth century, large crowds would gather at Tyburn to witness public hangings,’ said the Commissioner, who was following close behind. ‘This barbaric form of entertainment ceased in 1868, after which executions were carried out behind prison walls with no members of the public present.’ Once the Princess’s convoy had disappeared from sight, the Commissioner and the Hawk walked across to join them. Good idea of yours,’ said Sir Peter, ‘to have two young officers showing our guests around the museum, rather than us old fogeys. Especially as one of them had so obviously done his homework.’ It can’t be worse than four days at Ascot,’ replied the Princess, ‘when I regularly want to faint.’

He was a Member of Parliament and deputy chairman of the Conservative Party, and became a life peer in 1992. His political career, having suffered several controversies, ended after a conviction for perverting the course of justice and his subsequent imprisonment. He is married to Mary Archer, a scientist specialising in solar power. Outside politics, he is a novelist, playwright and short story writer. EXCERPT: An outrider from the Special Forces Group swept into Scotland Yard, closely followed by a green Jaguar and an unmarked Land Rover, while two police motorcycles brought up the rear, completing the royal convoy. A Five starer book- Next in Line, leaves little time for reader to imagine, as the incidents are realtime , so most of the time the reader will be in pace with the events, instead of trying to figure out the endgame. Then I’ll have another chance to meet your daughter,’ said the Princess, ‘because if I remember correctly, I’m opening the Fitzmolean’s Frans Hals exhibition next year.
