It’s possible to be resident in the UK and at the same time be resident in another country under that country's rules. If an individual has dual residence, they should establish whether there is a Double Tax Treaty between the UK and that other country as a “tie-breaker” clause within the Tax Treaty will normally allocate residence to one country or the other. He's hopefully going to keep going forward now and he's a nice alternative to his sire, who is probably out of reach for more commercial breeders. It’s been lovely for all the staff on the stud who work so hard,” says Pennell, “And it’s a great tribute to Terry and Margaret, who have put in so much time and hard work with the horses. We’re averaging 50 winners bred on the stud each year now, and some years we’ve been well above that. It’s very rare we’re under that number.” He joins a roster that includes the aforementioned Dream Ahead , the sire of four individual Group 1 winners, namely Glass Slippers, Al Wukair, Donjuan Triumphant and Dream Of Dreams.

Shropshire Gazetteer 1824 Pennell said: "He's covering another solid book of mares this year and has been received very well. The wheel of fortune has certainly spun in Bearstone Stud’s direction in recent seasons, and it isn’t just those on the Shropshire farm who are celebrating the fact. Farther south on Roach Rd I saw an unofficial-looking car park in a farm offering paid parking. I’d say only go here if the main parking spots are full! The view from where I parked my car in the lay-by at The Roaches UKC Parking. Belardo in his 2021 and 2022 seasons covered 215 mares, so he's got quite a lot of runners coming up for him and I think he's great value for the commercial breeder."

Just like Mam Tor and Kinder Scout, car parks in the Peak District fill up early. Make sure you get there in good time to get one of the few available spots. Don’t be tempted to park on a verge outside the car park if it’s full. I saw some cars that had done this and each one had a parking fine. The Roaches UKC Parking and Lud’s Church Car Park are the two spots I’d recommend. Start location: This Lud’s church walk starts at the roadside parking on the bend near The Roaches School

Pennell said: "Washington DC's holding his ground, he's still got plenty to run for him so we're hoping he's going to keep on improving. Lud’s church is a place that inspires your imagination and lingers in your dreams as the entrance to a world of mysterious fairy tales. This really is a great place for adults and children alike. The footpath leads through the bottom of the chasm allowing you to look straight up at roots and trees over your head and take some otherworldly selfies. Today the stud is home to 80 mares, 26 of whom are boarders, and the stallion Washington DC, a son of Zoffany from the family of champion two-year-old Grand Lodge. He won six races including the Windsor Castle Stakes and Phoenix Sprint Stakes, and finished second in two Group 1s, once when hard on the heels of Marsha in the Prix de l’Abbaye. To the east and north is the Peak District National Park. To the south and west, idyllic English countryside. The hills rise up around you and it’s even possible to see Mount Snowdon in Wales on a clear day. Looking to the south along The Roaches after coming up from Lud’s Church. As with many things in tax, there are several conditions that must be met for split year treatment to apply. Pennell also had news of of the team's triple Group 1-winning sprinter Glass Slippers, a daughter of Dream Ahead who won the Abbaye, Flying Five and Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint for the Kevin Ryan yard. In this epic guide we recommend three routes to enjoy the Lud’s church walk. There is the short route if you’re more interested in seeing Lud’s church than walking too far. There is a medium route which allows you to also visit the Roaches. And for the avid walkers we have suggested a long route so you can see and experience the main sights of the area.
