This is the second book in the Beast and Beauty Duet. This duet is inspired by Beauty and the Beast but it is a dark duet and you will need to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. Ella lost her voice due to a childhood trauma. Now, she finds herself trapped for unknown reasons along with a beast of a man who hungers for her touch. I liked this male character because he harbors an innocence that matches his upbringing away from many things we consider basic, but he's also dangerous in strength and purpose. This was downright horrendous. I kept wanting to stop reading, but I convinced myself to continue. Obviously, wrong choice on my behalf. Suddenly, a hand rises out of nowhere to slap me, but I grip her wrist just in time. She glances at me through the corner of her eye, her body shaking underneath mine as I tower over her.

How does Aurora play the piano (“professionally” was used to describe her piano prowess) when her hands are as messed up as they’re described to be..? OK, so I didn't love this one as much as I did book one. A lot of my positive feelings from above remain the same for this book. That said, I thought this one dragged a lot, and I started to lose interest a bit as the book went on. On top of that, I found certain situations to be a bit...how do I say this? Farfetched I guess. Especially surrounding Cage. I can't explain any better than that without out giving examples and thus giving away spoilers. Suffice it to say that they bugged me enough to pull me out of the story. Both Beast and Aurora make no sense in the context of what was written about them. On the one hand he apparently doesn’t know the word “friends” or “parties” and he doesn’t know that not using protection will lead to pregnancy. However he somehow knows how to eat her out expertly?? She has never had an orgasm and starts out calling her privates “down there” but later she talks about how he made her “pussy tighten”. Like??? Cage is, well Cage is kept in a cage. Anyway he is kept in his cage until it's time to fight again and after each fight he wins his reward, except Cage needs a new reward so his captor lets him choose a girl he likes from a group of photo's. The thing is Cage thinks there is nothing wrong with any of this as he was born and raised only knowing the life his captor taught him, and only what his captor wanted him to know which wasn't much.
