When Katie did finally come get him and suggest it was time to go, I felt as if something was being taken from me. This book fell into my hands and a pivotal moment of my life and I am so looking forward to reading more from this author. for too long i've decided on what to read by "whether the plot sounds like something i could possibly be interested in for even a second" or "if this book sounds like a full-on nightmare or not" but no more!

I am convinced that this book was more about Gabby and Hannah’s friendship than the romances combined and don’t try to convince me other wise. While this is absolutely a romance, it’s also just as much about friendship and family and finding yourself. She's twenty-nine, has no job, no real place that feels like "home", and she's currently running away from a disastrous relationship. Even though I haven’t visited Gabby in person since her wedding day two years ago, I have seen her every Sunday morning of the recent past. life is just a series of breaths in and out, all I really have to do in this world is breath in and then breathe out.If you’re looking for a book that is original, well-written, will make you think and make you feel, this is one I would recommend. Through alternating chapters, the author explores what Hannah’s life would be like on both sides of the coin. I’ve really enjoyed all three books I’ve read by this US author and I was keen to see if this one would break my reading slump. I was rooting for Hannah in both and in some ways no matter which direction your life takes or what decisions are made things can and will work out. But back then, I just assumed it would all fall into place, that the big things in life would take care of themselves.

Hannah was a wonderful main character who felt so authentic, and although both endings veer towards the happy, neither one provides a perfectly smooth path. Evidence of this fact is how much time this book spends in a location I dislike, the fact that I didn’t like either of the potential love interests, and that health sciences careers are featured prominently…which is something I prefer not to visit in my leisure reading.At the end of the night, Hannah must choose; to go home with Ethan and potentially pick up where they left off or go home with Gabby, her best friend and favourite person in the world.
