Comments:I love the new Sienna Fg. The 2000 model is very smooth, and quiet and for the price. The quality can't be beaten. The Shimano Sienna high-tech reel has one of the best sets of gears among similarly priced products. Pros The stainless steel gear is covered with a graphite case which makes the reel lightweight. Stainless ball bearings are corrosion-resistant and can handle saltwater angling. This is not a premium reel, but it does offer some great value-for-money features and is well constructed for its price range. If you are on a budget and looking for a spinning reel that won’t break down, then I would certainly rate the Shimano Sienna. There are plenty of reels that are better, but few that are better in the same price range. Types of Shimano Sienna Reels

Shimano produces a lot of reels and the Sienna is in the lower price range. For comparison – a little higher than the Sienna, there are such reels as Shimano Ci4 and Stradic FJ. While these two models offer more durability and longer casting, the Sienna has a lot in common with its expensive counterparts. All reels, including the Sienna, are made of graphite and aluminum and are very lightweight and durable. This is one of the most advanced and best value for money fishing reels in the Australian market place. In fact, dollar for dollar, it doesn’t get much better than a Shimano Sienna fishing reel. There as basic as they come but many an angler still has the first Sienna they bought over 10 years ago and they’re still deploying it now in all sorts of conditions hunting all sorts of fish targets.

Comments: What a great reel for a reasonable price! I like that it's so light and can use it all day long. Shimano reels are consistently good. I prefer the 2500 series. Comments:Got the 2000 & 3000 for inshore fishing. They handle real good in salt. Very smooth and easy to cast. Using 10lb on the 2000 and 15lb on the 3000. Mainly using this with finesse type lures and popping corks. Awesome reel for all levels of fisherman but especially good entry level if you want to get into Shimano reels. Highly recommend this reel. This reel – paired with either braid and with a fluoro or mono leader or a high-quality monofilament line straight through – is also suitable for throwing lures for walleye and other freshwater and estuary-dwelling sportfish. In my opinion, the Shimano Sahara is a top-of-the-line spinning reel that’s well worth the investment. Its construction is solid, with high-quality components that ensure a smooth and reliable performance. It’s definitely a testament to Shimano’s reputation for producing top-quality fishing gear.
