Plus Honey-Belle is the coolest name out there, and based on her personality, she is literally my dream girl. I hate that Tally has become a Candlehawk kid, but maybe I should have seen it coming. She was always obsessed with how things looked and who was doing the looking. Dating her felt like viewing my life through a photo filter. Sometimes I was swept up by how great we looked together; other times, I felt like the photo underneath wasn’t good enough on its own. It's a cute, heartwarming, plain old fun novel that's relatable, down to earth, a fun peak with just the right bit of geekiness, and possibly one of the finest LGBT, fake dating + enemies to lovers book. A little sweet, a little sharp, this romance will resonate with readers looking for an emotional journey."— Booklist, starred review

The crowd starts booing me. The Candlehawk players throw me scathing, superior looks, except for Tally, who grimaces like I’ve become unhinged. My coach freezes where she stands, clearly unsure of what a technical foul is. anyway. scottie initiates the fake dating drama in the hope of evoking jealousy from her ex, tally (who happens to be on the rival basketball team). i expected this to turn into a straightforward romance between scottie and irene, but i was impressed by the nuance. Leah Johnson, author of You Should See Me in a Crown Hilarious and full of heart, with a sizzling romance. She Drives Me Crazy nails both the hate to love and fake dating tropes with expert execution. I want to live in this town and be friends with these characters so badly, and I'm deeply sad that I can't.After losing to her ex-girlfriend in their first basketball game since their breakup, Scottie Zajac gets into a fender bender with the worst person possible: her head cheerleader nemesis Irene Abraham. Irene is as mean as she is beautiful, and Scottie makes a point to keep her distance, only their little car accident means the girls are forced to ride together to school. Every day. One thing I also loved about the plot was the way that teens were portrayed. Honestly I don’t really notice when teens are portrayed in a meh or okay way (as in it would have to be really bad for me to notice) but I really felt like this book captured so many of the stressful aspects of going to school and thinking about how the rest of your life is gonna go, along with the other parts of being a teenager in the modern world. Of course, there were still some cliche parts, but that’s to be expected. Danielle huffs. “It’s not all about you.” She turns to our forwards and center as they join us. “Listen, do y’all recognize this play they’re about to run?” This has the one-bed trope which I love, of course. But, I feel like the author could have definitely done more with it. It was quite brief and not super developed or elaborated on. There wasn’t any of the “they woke up in each other's arms” thing which was a little painful and just a waste of opportunity, really. I just know it could have been done so well; it could have been cold because of the ac and stuff so they'd have to hold each other to stay warm, or the nightmare trope possibly. Just felt like a missed opportunity.

A cast of characters you'll fall in love with and a love story you'll be obsessed with— She Drives Me Crazy is one of my favorite rom-coms of the year. Trust me when I say you need this book." —Leah Johnson, author of You Should See Me in a Crown The classic, unavoidable, miscommunication trope (sigh). There was no reason for that, and the ex-drama that was randomly interwoven with that was also annoying and frustrating. A love letter to late bloomers, Late to the Party combines teenage angst with first loves and second chances and emphasises that true friends will always be there for you even as you discover new parts of yourself." — The Nerd Daily

Perfectly captures the joys and hopes and thrills of being a real, authentic teenager . . . A fantastic read for queer teens today.” —Kacen Callender, Stonewall and Lambda Award–winning author This Is Kind of an Epic Love Story best friends danielle and honey belle are great supporting personalities, too. and i was amazed by the warmth of scottie's loving, supportive family. having sisters must be an amazing thing. I think this book was really your typical heartwarming YA novel, complete with the tropes and cliches we all know and love. It was super light and funny, but with a good balance of angst and character growth, which made it really enjoyable. An interior designer learns to rebuild her love life from the ground up with zero blueprints in this new romantic comedy by Ashley Herring Blake, author of Delilah Green Doesn't Care.

From the critically acclaimed author of Something To Talk About comes a sharp and sexy rom-com about a college senior who accidentally hooks up with her best friend’s mom. That girl. Like I’m some pathetic nonfactor who means nothing to Tally. She obviously didn’t think I was worth mentioning to her new teammates. Late to the Party is right on time to being your favorite read. I didn’t want my time with Quindlen’s characters to end.” —Sara Farizan, Lambda Award–winning author of If You Could Be Mine After losing spectacularly to her ex-girlfriend in their first game since their break up, Scottie Zajac gets into a fender bender with the worst possible person: her nemesis, the incredibly beautiful and incredibly mean Irene Abraham. Things only get worse when their nosey, do-gooder moms get involved and the girls are forced to carpool together until Irene’s car gets out of the shop.
