Heroic Leadership: on a 4+ (or 2+ if your general has been slain) get a command point only that hero can use. The Moonclan Grots battletome was teased at Blood and Glory, the UK’s largest Warhammer Age of Sigmar event, in the studio preview. Snarlfang Riders prowl at the flanks of a Gloomspite horde, mounted atop cruel, wolf-like beasts raised as steeds from birth. These opportunistic cavalry-grots gleefully hunt down the enemy, loosing volleys of barbed arrows before their ferocious Snarlfang partners pounce upon the foe and tear them apart with fang and claw. Estranged from their subterranean Moonclan cousins, the plains-dwelling Gitmobs join Gloomspite throngs as mercenaries and outriders in a grudging truce fuelled by shared hatreds. At the start of the second and each subsequent battle round, before the priority roll, the player commanding the Gloomspite Gitz army rolls a dice. If more than 1 player in the battle is commanding a Gloomspite Gitz army, then those players roll off and the winner rolls the dice. On a 1-3, the Bad Moon does not move and instead stays at its current location. On a 4+, it moves to the next location. When the Bad Moon moves off the battlefield, it has no further effect on the battle. The Gloomspite Gitz are the combined forces of the Moonclan (Night Goblins), Spiderfang (Goblin Spider Riders) and Troggoths (Trolls), with the odd Gargant (Giant) shambling along for the ride. This army embodies the random, comical, spiteful malevolence that we all come to expect from the Moonclan and their fellow subterranean dwellers.

This is what Warhammer TV and Warhammer Community had to say about them, along with our commentary on it as well! There’s 2 major reasons people generally like the gitz: They like the underdogs, or they like the silliness (or both!). Gitz have been seen as the underdog army basically from Age of Sigmar’s inception. Their rules have always been a bit haphazard, weaker than equivalent units and subject to a lot of randomness. This does have a certain appeal to a kind of person who didn’t really care about winning and just wanted to cause some chaos on the table. Start collecting or building up some bulk with your new rules by getting this vanguard that has a ton of the models you’ll need to play. Vanguard: Gloomspite Gitz The Gobbapalooza have seen a massive change, as all their individual warscrolls have been condensed into a single, more powerful warscroll. With the "Mesmerize" spell and the "Fungoid Cloud" spell, as well as a full suite of other abilities, this unit is now an extremely potent wizard on the battlefield. The Loonshrine is a sacred icon to the Gloomspite Gitz and carries a sliver of the Bad Moon’s power. Gloomspite Gitz units wholly within 12” of the shrine count as being bathed in the light of the Bad Moon.

You roll a dice at the start of the any battle round from the second one onwards, on a 4+ the moon moves, otherwise stays in its location. the Spiderfang grots believe in the spider god that is a giant arachnid demi-god that bit GorkaMorka on the foot and got infused with the god’s power. The Spiderfang believe that the Bad Moon is the giant egg-sac of the spidergod. If they impress it enough, they believe the moon will hatch and rain spiders down on the Mortal Realms Do you like the new Beasts of Chaos and Gloomspite Gitz Battletome books, and Snarlfang Riders, that were revealed at the Grand Narrative Finale preview?

Even the lowliest of villains are deemed worthy of an honourable death by the Grand Justice and his court – but the Royal Decapitators who carry out such judgements do so with little hesitation. Armed with grot bows, stabbin’ stikkas, and the slavering, toxic jaws of their snarlfang partners in crime, these gobbos are great at flanking enemy positions and finishing off wounded targets, thanks to their cruel ability to Smell Weakness. When Kragnos awoke from his prison as a consequence of Alarielle’s ritual of life, the grots followed him and Gordrakk in the Big Waaagh! against Excelsis. It was Skagrott with the help of the Bad Moon that stopped the fight between Kragnos and the Ironjawz leader allowing the green crusade to continue. Despite their best effort, Excelsis was saved at the last minute, but this did not stop Grots from continuing their quest of stealing pieces of the Spear of Mallus from the city protected by Sigmar. The Cryptguard are tenacious guardians of their monarch’s estates, lowborn serfs who have earned great privileges through their valour and loyalty. They enjoy the most comfortable hovels, the chance to dine on leftovers from noble banquets, and may even wield a weapon from their majesty’s private armoury. The other three grots can be activated once per turn and provide +1 to run and charge (Scaremonger), +1 to hit and wound in melee for a hero (Brewgit) or improve the rend characteristic of any weapon (Spiker). For a brief moment before was released the FAQ that prevents the same unit from receiving twice one of these effects, it was theoretically possible to have multiple Gobbapalooza give extreme high rend to units of Shoota. We also now have a Warhammer Community article on the Bad Moon allegiance ability. Started with the idea of the Bad Moon as it is at the centre of all the races. Then thought about how the Bad Moon could be brought to the table in a thematic, skittish and erratic manner. Team wanted the balance of randomness for Moonclan, but also being easy to use and not mind-bendingly crazy
