Han Solo and Leia fight to keep a critical communications center out of Yuuzhan Vong hands as Tahiri masters her half-Jedi, half-Vong nature. Luke Skywalker and his team of Jedi Knights rediscover the living world of Zonama Sekot (first seen in Greg Bear's novel Rogue Planet) and plead for that world's interference in the ongoing war. It goes well; the world agrees to follow them. Meanwhile, Nom Anor's heresy among the Shamed Ones is hindered when his elite spy, Ngaaluh, is discovered by Supreme Overlord Shimrra, and she is forced to kill herself. However, before she did so, Ngaaluh revealed to Nom Anor rumors from Shimrra's court of a living world that, according to Yuuzhan Vong legends, will be the downfall of the species. Duro eventually becomes the next target of the Yuuzhan Vong. Though the conquest of the world is successful, Jacen, in a bid to save his mother, Leia, from certain doom, confronts the Vong Warmaster Tsavong Lah in combat, embraces the Force once more, and defeats him. The Skywalkers, the Solos, and several of their friends and allies flee Duro in its loss. And to make things worse, in the aftermath of his humiliation by Jacen, Tsavong Lah makes an ultimatum to the rest of the galaxy: If every single member of the Jedi are brought to the Yuuzhan Vong, especially Jacen, then the invaders will settle with Duro and conclude their invasion with what worlds they already have. Lieutenant Gorn betrayed the Empire after the woman he had fallen in love with was killed by the Empire. [37] When a couple of Imperial agents harassed Yoffar about not having a license to sell jogan fruit, Yoffar grumbled that he remembered what life was like before the Empire had ruled Lothal. Commandant Cumberlayne Aresko described his words as treasonous and tried to place him under arrest for it, but a timely distraction by Ezra Bridger allowed Yoffar to remain free. Later, Bridger encountered the residents of Tarkintown, many of whom had been placed under arrest for similar "treasonous" statements. [2] [30] Luke Skywalker takes Jacen Solo with him to Belkaden to find the Yuuzhan Vong. While Anakin Solo, Jacen's brother, is with Luke Skywalker's wife Mara to Dantooine, a planet on the outer rim. They go to figure out if they can find a cure for the Vong disease that has spread across the galaxy. Anakin tries to help Mara with her work without using the Force. Two Jedi Knights named Corran Horn and Ganner Rhysode are sent a mission to Bimmiel, an Outer Rim planet to find university students that were taking from the Yuuzhan Vong and are missing at the moment.

The final boss encounter is split into 2 phases. There are no adds spawning, but in phase 2 you will see 2 Whirlwinds spawning. To defeat Valls, it is recommended that you stay in melee range and keep use your CC breaker when he uses Master Stroke on you. The fight isn’t long, nor too complicated. Jacen has been cruelly tortured by the Yuuzhan Vong. He is also the unwitting subject of an experiment by Yuuzhan Vong scienists. His only source of “comfort” is the mysterious alien slave, Vergere, whose intentions and loyalties have been unclear since she was introduced early in the series. One thing that is known is that she is extremely Force-sensitive, which makes her an anomaly among the Yuuzhan Vong, who do not use the Force and are seemingly invulnerable to it. This is by far the greatest breach of trust the Jedi have seen since Count Dooku himself betrayed us. Even General Krell's deception did less damage. Vos isn't just a Jedi, he's a Jedi Master with unique skills. And he is a Jedi Master in wartime who has worked side by side with Dooku. This is going to have massive repercussions." ―Mace Windu [12] Krell admitted his true intentions to the clones that captured him, revealing his plan to betray the Galactic Republic. At one point, Jedi Knight Iskat Akaris asked him to train her in Jar'Kai but his frequent absences from the Temple made such an arrangement impossible so he suggested that she speak with Master Kelleran Beq. [8]The coffer's explosion is viewed by Warmaster Nas Choka and his fleet. He announces to all of his forces that the war is over and that the Yuuzhan Vong's enemies have won. He offers them an ultimatum; those who wish to die may kill themselves or fight to the bitter end, while those like him will live to find out what the Galactic Alliance and their allies intend to do to them. Meanwhile, Zonama Sekot manages to repel the Alpha Red-infected Vong ship from its surface and brings down all ships, Yuuzhan Vong and non-Vong alike, to the ground. The Vong's weapons become docile and harmless as the invaders are welcomed home. FN-2199 was physically portrayed by veteran stuntman Liang Yang, while his voice was provided by David Acord, a sound editor for Skywalker Sound. [5] Eight years after the rise of the Empire, Imperial advisor Count Denetrius Vidian committed treason in the events that caused the Gorse Conflict: Vidian, wishing to destroy his rivals in the Imperial court, particularly Baron Lero Danthe, concocted a scheme to destroy Gorse's moon Cynda, and the thorilide reserves it contained, to smear Danthe's name. Aware of massive thorilide reserves on Gorse's scorching dayside, Vidian intended to ensnare Danthe into taking the blame for the disappearance of Cynda's reserves, which Vidian had claimed in a fraudulent report would last for many years after the moon's destruction, before sweeping in with heat-resistant mining droids he planned to reverse-engineer from Danthe's own designs to claim the glory for himself. A motley group of rebels including pilot Hera Syndulla, fugitive Jedi Padawan Kanan Jarrus and unstable explosives expert Skelly uncovered Vidian's treason, giving Imperial Navy captain Rae Sloane the evidence needed for the Empire to turn on Vidian before Cynda could be destroyed. After Skelly killed Vidian and himself by blowing up the Forager, the count's treason was covered up, with his death blamed on a relapse of his Shilmer's syndrome. [36] All the others in the aforementioned theory, because of the exact same reason but in a different sequence! (Hey, I never said I was a one-ship man, in fact, I fly around!)

The cover of Traitor didn't live up to my expectations. I personally prefer the traditional painted covers over the photo montages, with Cliff Nielson's mixed media works being the exception. Most of Steve Anderson's other work is attractive, but in my opinion the cover of Traitor is not up to snuff. To reiterate, this book isn't for everyone. It's the nature of such monumental work to have a polarizing effect on those who take it in; you can't say anything of real quality without upsetting certain groups of people. But if you're the type of person who doesn't mind a romp through the fields of existentialism, who's willing to have their perspective of the GFFA rebuilt from the ground up like the Vong are doing to Coruscant, hold onto your hat. It's a damn treat. In this dark and dangerous time for the New Republic, the cruel Yuuzhan Vong continue their mission: galactic conquest. The Yuuzhan Vong have begun cloning voxyn, creatures capable of hunting Jedi through the Force and killing them. Former Chief of State Leia Organa Solo faces a difficult crisis; the Yuuzhan Vong want to know the location of the secret Jedi base, and if the New Republic does not provide this information within one week, they will violently destroy millions of refugee ships.

In Phase 2 boss will keep teleporting around the area on the 2nd floor, spawning various Silver and Weak adds to her aid.

Han and Leia Organa Solo, along with their droids C-3PO and R2-D2, set off on adventures to root out and overthrow any planetary government that plans to acquiesce to the Yuuzhan Vong. One of their most dangerous missions is set on Aphran IV, though they are able to escape death with their mission a success. There are several cool action scenes in this book. There's an impressive battle in the Yuuzhan Vong "nursery" where Jacen leads a slave uprising. The idea of a central "brain" controlling the slaves (and competing with its siblings) was an interesting concept and of good use for that action sequence. Then there's an intense chase through the ruins of Coruscant. Finally, the grand finale featuring Ganner Rhysode was an fitting addition to the history of the character. It was interesting to see how he reacted in the face of danger, both fearful and brave at the same time. Perhaps it's time we made a visit behind enemy lines. I think we'll find our answers there." ―Obi-Wan Kenobi, to Commander Cody [3]

Failing that, it could actually be Satele Shan because she's been totally mad at you that whole time for killing her Ancestor, Revan. She seems to be the type of personality that would bite her lip when something's bothering her. You know, that whole stoic thing? We can also rule out any character that as had the option or possibility of being killed during KOTFE or KOTET, since it needs to be someone that is still alive for every player, regardless of the story choices they may have made. That would include Koth, Scorpio, Senya, Arcann, Jorgan, Kaliyo, Vette, Torian, Quinn, (and any others I may be forgetting). By the same logic, it can't be either Malcom or Acina either, based on what happens during the Iokath story line. And it can't be any companion that we got through an alliance alert mission, since not every player will have done them all. But at the end of the day, I want to make clear that the overall burnout I'm starting to feel for the series does not make "Traitor" a bad book. It might have been a factor in the length of time it took me to read it, but it wasn't a mark against this book's quality. I still enjoyed the experience when I found the time to read it, and it firmly solidified Matthew Stover as a top tier Star Wars author for me. Firstly, Stover keeps a narrow focus, which I've found to enjoy far more than the broader scope books. The cast contains only four people: Jacen, Vergere, Nom Anor, and Ganner. That is it. Oh, sure, there are nameless Yuuzhan Vong that Jacen fights at one point, but our major characters are the four listed above. And of those, three have points of view. I love this because we can finally delve deeply into our characters, to probe the extents of their mind, understand how they work, understand what they feel, and concentrate on their growth throughout the book.

The dark-side warriors enter the fray in Qi’ra’s battle against the Empire, and much more.

After Viceroy Nute Gunray's capture on Rodia, Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and Padawan Ahsoka Tano attempted to transport him to Coruscant. However, Senate Commando Captain Faro Argyus had secretly turned traitor and assisted Count Dooku's assassin Ventress when she boarded the Jedi Cruiser Tranquility to rescue Gunray. Ventress killed Argyus not long after their successful escape when he disparaged her skills and implied he would downplay her contributions to the mission when he reported to Dooku. [17] With the help of the New Republic military, Leia Solo, with Jaina, her daughter and Jaina's friend Danni Quee, help forces around the Outer Rim territories to come together versus the Yuuzhan Vong. Heat Beam– 5s channel on a single target, the tank – not much you can do as this isn’t interruptable, just take the damage (if any :P) Whirlwinds– immune to damage adds that spawn in the 2nd phase. They look out for players, who are not in melee range to Valls and pull them to the boss. Achievements Whitbrook, James (January 15, 2018).
