Yesterday (May 9), the duo increased the anticipation even more by revealing their official cover art and tracklist. The upcoming album showcases the pair reigniting their innate chemistry, further solidifying their musical bond. Over its 40 years in business, PIAS has grown to be one of the largest independently-owned music groups in the world, carving out its own in-house recorded music division PIAS [Recordings]. In terms of guest features, Kaytraminé will house assists from Freddie Gibbs, Pharrell Williams, Big Sean, Amaarae, and Snoop Dogg across 11 tracks.

The standout feature belongs to Freddie Gibbs, who sounds right at home on “letstalkaboutit,” wielding a rapid-fire flow as smooth as Kaytra’s plunging bassline.

Although it was officially announced on April 4, this album is, according to Portland’s Aminé, “9 years in the making. Kaytranada took several months to find samples for the album, including pieces from Bollywood films. In 2021, Aminé told me about his real-life friendship with Kaytranada (they throw parties and have dinners together) and Kaytraminé feels like an album made by two friends whose main goal was to make fun music they could play at their own parties. Prior to that was Limbo in 2020, a 14-song offering with special appearances from names like Summer Walker, Injury Reserve, slowthai, Vince Staples, Charlie Wilson, and Young Thug.
