Additionally, Houston’s One Wish – The Holiday Album is also being made available on vinyl for the very first time. Early pressings include the original version of "Greatest Love Of All" (a cover of George Benson's 1977 recording), and "How Will I Know" later replaced with their single versions. This 2LP deluxe vinyl collector’s edition box set celebrates the 35th anniversary of Whitney Houston’s seminal debut album.Indeed, Whitney sang with her mother Cissy Houston on the track "Life's A Party" of The Michael Zager Band. Originally released in 2003, the Christmas album also includes a duet with Whitney’s daughter, the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, on Little Drummer Boy. There are no surface noise issues on my copy and the sound is generally ok, well balanced highs and lows, sometimes could be more dynamic but most will enjoy this just fine.Houston's single from it, "I Will Always Love You" (a Dolly Parton cover), became one of the best-selling singles in music history. Re-released in January 2010 with the original version of "Greatest Love of All" plus bonus content as "The Deluxe Anniversary Edition" to mark its 25th anniversary. The 19-year-old singer had just signed a recording deal with Clive Davis and Arista Records and performed the song "Home" from the "Wizard of Oz" musical "The Wiz. Houston was the daughter of soul/gospel singer Cissy Houston and cousin of Dionne Warwick and Dee Dee Warwick. If you bought this album and had any issues like this with it I hope you are able to get your money back too!

The box set includes a 40-page hard cover photo and lyric book with new essays from Pat Houston, Narada Michael Walden, LaLa and others who collaborated with Whitney on the album.Have the VMP pressing also and that was perhaps a louder bass-heavier more immersive version but this is kind of a neutral sound. Anyway, the vinyl is GORGEOUS transparent peach coloured and the inner and new 4 page insert are nicely done and are a welcomed addition. The only thing I liked about the album was that the music actually sounded good and loud with a decent soundstage and some actual PUNCH.

There's no surface noise to speak of - I've heard A LOT worse from modern pressings, believe me on that! Next, I saw the ginormous pothole of a chip in the grooves that was actually white colored so stood out right away. Her first starring role was in " The Bodyguard" (1992), the soundtrack of which won the 1994 Grammy Award for Album Of The Year.The album was originally released in 2012 following Whitney’s passing, and has since been certified gold in the UK. The reissue contains all of the album’s festive tracks (including Christmas staples The First Noel and Deck The Halls) plus the 2019 version of Do You Hear What I Hear?
