Very happy that new drill is identical to my old one [except it works!], so very satisfied with offer & delivery from Tooled-Up. Supports the same batteries as the rest of the Bosch range, offering to swap batteries about with other tools in the range. No self-respecting review of the best cordless drills available right now would be worth it without a proper head-to-head comparison of each tool. I set up a test rig that would put all the drills through the same challenges to get an idea of how each performed. For any technical enquiries relating to this product it is best to call the manufacturer, Bosch Home and Garden, direct on 0344 736 0109. The PSB 1800 is a fantastic combi drill for general home use but if you need a little more power then you should consider the Bosch PSB 18 LI-2.

Am delighted with my fantastic new drill/screwdriver I bought without charger nor battery as I already own the latest. Hence it cost me less than previously thought and I am now all equipped with solid European Bosch products which has been my ecosystem for years!! This cordless combi drill by Ryobi forms part of their ONE+ product line and comes with two batteries that you can use across other tools in the same range. When my similar drill stopped working after much use, found this product offered ex batteries, ideal as my existing ones were fine.

Suitable for different materials For drilling and screwdriving in wood and metal or impact drilling in masonry, Drilling in metal 2.5 m/s² As for performance, this cordless combi drill uses Bosch’s advanced Syneon Chip technology that intelligently controls energy usage for each project to give you extended runtimes. This energy powers 20 pre-selectable torque of 38Nm, an impact rate of 20.250 BPM and a speed of 1350 RPM enough to see you through applications like drilling, screwdriving, impact drilling in wood metal and even masonry. It also provides you with adequate lighting as you go about with your duties in the dark or poorly lit areas like in the basement. It’s very efficient for someone with DIY projects. When other cordless drills suffer from drill bits getting loose during drilling, the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 cordless combi drill maintains its workrate even in the toughest of materials. What we liked These clever Power for All batteries can push the business end of the drill to a maximum drilling speed of 1,350 rpm. It’s not class-leading but it’s fast enough for most jobs. In hammer mode, you get a maximum of 20,250 bpm, which is the slowest of all the combi drills I’ve tested and reviewed. The 38 Newton metres of torque it puts out isn’t beating any of the bigger name brands on the list either. Lithium-Ion batteries are renowned for their low self-discharge rate and high energy density, making them ideal for power tools. Moreover, as the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 comes with two lithium batteries, you won’t have to worry about running out of charge. Combine this with its drilling and impact drilling functionality and it is a great all-round combi drill. Drills do require the ability to be able to drive fixings from time to time and it is personal preference on whether or not you prefer an impact driver for the job. This PSB 1800 combi drill from Bosch has the option should you require it.We have reviewed combi drills from Makita, Bosch, DeWalt and many more. We wouldn’t say that the Bosch PSB 1800 is the best drill we have ever reviewed. The Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 runs on a Bosch 18v PowerForAll lithium-ion battery, meaning it shares battery compatibility not only with other Bosch 18v Home & Garden (Green) cordless tools, but also with other tools from other manufacturers who have recently become part of the Power For All 18v Alliance Combi drills are highly versatile tools, and the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 is no exception. With 20 pre-selectable torque levels, it makes a great multi-purpose power driver. It also has a drill mode for drilling holes into wood and plastics and an impact drill mode for drilling into more challenging materials such as masonry and steel. I would highly recommend this tool as I would always advise to be equipped with middle-range products for everyday use. If you can afford and have even more use than I have go for top range.

The Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 runs on a Bosch 18v PowerForAll lithium-ion battery, meaning it shares battery compatibility not only with other Bosch 18v Home & Garden (Green) cordless tools, but also with other tools from other manufacturers who have recently become part of the Power For All 18v Alliance, including Gardena, Wagner and Rapid. The grip shape is fine, but it’s not as refined compared to the ones on the Ryobi R18PD3 or the DeWalt DCD796. Bosch have been a bit stingy on the rubberised sections as well, as the tips of my fingers are trying to grip on to hard plastic during use. It’s just not as comfortable as some of the other cordless drills on my list. This drill uses a proprietary Symeon chip to control the battery, motor and gears, ensuring maximum coordination for greater efficacy and longevity. SInce the power drill acts as both a drill and driver, it’s a great addition for people looking to eliminate bulkiness that comes with a lot of tools and increasing efficiency at work. Though its an 18V rechargeable power tool, this drill/driver continuously delivers powerful speeds and power to see you through a wide range of tasks. The Bosch PSB 1800 comes with 2x 1.5Ah Lithium-ION batteries and a charger capable of recharging them within an hour. You would be hard pushed to be completing a task that didn’t allow for you to work continuously rotating the batteries as they need charging with this Bosch Combi Drill. If anything, the grip is a little on the small side. I’ve got large hands, and the bottom of my palm started rubbing on the battery release button surround almost immediately. I don’t know how comfortable this will be over time, and I don’t think it would be great to use with gloves on. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You get a decent case and two batteries to play with. These two Power Alliance batteries can fuel a range of tools by different brands, which is remarkable in the age of proprietary systems. It’s a good place to start as long as you don’t expect this cordless drill to perform like one of Bosch’s Professional level tools. The noise rating of this cordless drill at full speed is 98 dB. Roughly equivalent to the sound levels you experience when riding a motorbike, proper hearing protection is essential. If you’re just driving in screws at low speed, the noise levels are obviously much lower. If you’ve used Bosch tools before, you’ll know they come in two different levels. There are the blue Professional-level tools and the green DIY tools. The PSB 1800 fits into the DIY level, which means it’s a capable drill but not designed for heavy everyday use.

As always with Bosch the warranty that comes with the product is 2 years which once activated online becomes 3 years, this really does finish the product off nicely. Bosch PSB 1800 Accessory Set We did an article on The Best Impact Drivers of 2021 should you want to find out more about its counterpart the Bosch Professional GDR impact driver. However, it provides enough torque to drive most fixings in. Good news! After doing this my drill is now working again and the problem you describe has stopped! There’s plenty of control when it comes to torque settings on this cordless drill. Bosch have called it ScrewControl, but it’s the same principle. You get 20 different settings that control how much power you can put into a screw, to help save the surface of delicate materials you’re working on.The PSB 1800 LI-2 lithium-ion two-speed combi from Bosch is suitable for drilling in wood (3 cm diameter), metal (1 cm diameter) and masonry (1 cm diameter) and can also be used as a screwdriver on these materials. It is conveniently cordless and always ready to use thanks to the lithium-ion technology and a 60 minute battery life. As the appliance is compact and weighs a light 1.3 kg, it is comfortable to use and won't cause your arm to ache after a few minutes. The softgrip also plays a part in making sure the drill is convenient to use. For all handheld and stationary drills. Practical Bosch V-Line case with a clear arrangement of the contents. Complete with two lithium-ion batteries, a charger, and a carry case, we think the Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 is excellent value for money, mainly if you are new to DIY and don’t already have any interchangeable 18V batteries. While 1.5Ah batteries are not the longest-lasting options, thanks to this drill’s lithium-Ion batteries and its energy-efficient Syneon Chip, you’ll find that you’ll get a lot done with just one battery.
