Released in 2022, the Nerf Elite 2.0 Trailblazer RD-8 has brought us an upgraded version of the Nerf revolver design. The Hammershot will always hold a special place in the hearts of Nerf lovers, but the Trailblazer has an 8-dart capacity. It also comes with 16 darts which adds some solid value. The Disruptor’s mechanism is pretty much identical to the Strongarm, apart from a small change to the trigger. It is so similar in fact that the Strongarm upgrade kit from Orange Modworks is reputed to work perfectly on the Disruptor, bar some filing down some areas of the trigger mechanism. The Rebelle Spylight also uses this mechanism and it works well, so we can understand why there was not much need for any changes here. The rotating drum holds 6 darts, which is typical for most sidearm blasters, but it’s not going to last if you go with Slam Fire mode. Range The mod featured below is completed on the Nerf Disruptor. However, because the internal workings of the Nerf Strongarm and Disruptor are identical, their modifications are compatible with each other. To make this mod even better, the entire modification is entirely free. The only tool you need is a screwdriver and some snippers!

There is also a hook which you can use to fit another Disruptor’s priming slide grooves. This is a useful feature in case you want to wield dual Disruptors and prime them at the same time. With the hook, you can prime both without putting one down. Loading & Firing The Disruptor has a comfortable grip and fits nicely in your hand. The trigger has a really good feel and priming slide is well positioned so even in Slam Fire mode you still have a good amount of control, so your accuracy is not affected too badly.

6. Nerf Fortnite 6-SH

The Nerf Trailblazer has the standard pistol performance but does have an average 70 FPS dart velocity.

They dubbed this pretty color scheme the “Wild Edition,” so fingers crossed we get some more sweet versions of this blaster in the future.Once you feel and fire this Nerf gun, you can instantly tell why it’s one of the top 10 best Nerf pistols. With the single-hand operation and eight darts to fire before reloading, this blaster is a great sidearm. I do wish they had a sling mount on this blaster, and that the tactical rail was on the top. I just feel a scope is a better attachment option than a grip. The NERF Disruptor is essentially a Strongarm but with a front loading mechanism and that is no bad thing. The mod covered in this video involves removing the air restrictor and dart posts. This allows more direct airflow through your blaster. With more air hitting your darts, they will fly notably farther than before the mod. This rear loading Strongarm mod is done by removing the barrel from inside the blaster and then prying the two pieces apart. The dart posts are removed, and the chambers are lightly sanded to allow darts to travel through.

Launch into epic battles with NERF Blasters! Choose your blaster and get ready to fire with Nerf’s aerodynamic foam darts. The internals are similar to other NERF secondary blasters, and has the same smooth operation. It has a powerful trigger but doesn’t have any recoil that will affect your hold. The Disruptor has a sling mount, but it is an opening in the handle rather than at the rear. The unusual sling may take some getting used to, but it’s not a major concern. The biggest issue with loading is ensuring you push the darts in the right amount when loading – too much and they can jam, too little and they can come out or foul the mechanism although, in reality, these issues are rarely a problem. Once you have installed the Orange Mod Works Kit into your Nerf Strongarm, you will not only be able to feel that your blaster performs better, but you will see your darts fly further than they ever could have before! Rear Loading StrongArmIf you fire it flat, the useful range drops to around 50ft/15m, but since the NERF darts aren’t that great aerodynamically, this is about as far as you can expect to hit anything human sized anyway! Ergonomics Like most other NERF spring blasters, the firing mechanism allows for regular and Slam Fire mode. If you pull the trigger once, you fire a dart. To use Slam Fire mode, simply hold the trigger down and repeatedly pull the slide. Both accuracy and range will diminish using slam mode, but it is still very cool to have as an option. On a side note, you may have trouble priming the handle if you put a big scope on top because of where the priming handle is. The Nerf Strongarm has lots of features that make it a desirable candidate for modifications. These include an easily reloaded cylinder, slam-fire capabilities, a tactical rail on top, and a loop for carrying attachments. However, the main factor that allows the Nerf Strongarm to claim this title is the blaster’s simplicity; the blaster is easily disassembled and the internal workings are not overly complicated.

Even more impressive is that it is still the least expensive gun on the list with all that design. It also made our list of the best Nerf guns of 2023! While elaborate Nerf mods can produce great results, they can also be costly and time-consuming. If you are experienced in modding Nerf guns, a more complex mod could be easy for you to complete. However, if you are just learning how to mod a Nerf blaster, then an easy–and less expensive–mod is the right way to go. With the gun comes 12 elite darts, which is enough to fill the gun twice. This gun also has slam-fire so that you can hold the trigger and rapidly pump the handle to fire faster. It has the same orange and blue color combo as the other Elite blasters, and a slightly more streamlined style to the Strongarm, which makes it slightly easier to holster and draw. Design One of my only complaints with Nerf Ultra blasters is that they will often shoot a dart wildly in a while with inconsistent accuracy. One issue with this blaster is loading the gun can be a bit slow because you have to manually rotate the barrel to get all the darts in. Not included are the 6 AA batteries needed to power the gun, but they are easy to install in the battery tray on the side. One reason the Nerf Strongarm is such a popular blaster is that it can easily be reloaded due to the drop-open spinning chamber. While the Nerf Strongarm can already be easily reloaded, reloading your blaster can become even faster and more efficient with a simple modification.
