Unfortunately, we can't always take every single one on holiday to see how they perform (unless someone wants to start a GoFundMe for us and this vital research), but we can test them out in more everyday situations.

The Globe is suitable from birth (the seat reclines completely flat) to 15kg (approx three years). The recline lever makes it easy to move from sitting to recline position, and Annie seems comfortable in both positions. The seat fabric is thin, which helps with the compact fold. Annie is a small 12-month old, but the seat width is pretty generous and would easily accommodate taller toddlers. The seat has an adjustable leg rest so I could experiment with different positions to find one that Annie seemed to find most comfortable. The pushchair has a bumper bar, in the same leather-like material as the handle bar. This is the first pushchair we’ve used that has a cross bar and I was surprised to see how much Annie enjoys holding onto it and using it to pull herself into a seated position. It’s handy for attaching toys to too. The cross bar also opens which makes it easier to get Annie in and out.

Age: It sounds obvious, but it’s important to consider whether lightweight buggies are suitable for the age of your baby. Some with less padding are only designed for babies aged six months or one or over, for example. Ultra-compact when folded, the Globe is perfect for small spaces and overhead storage. Carry it on your shoulder with the additional strap or push with one hand as you and baby embark on a global adventure. This is great if you’re a frequent flier, use public transport or have a small car, but this feature can make some models more expensive, so if you’re not bothered, you might want to pass. Similarly, folding mechanisms vary massively, and you need to find one that’s easy for you and suitable for your needs. If you can, we recommend trying before you buy.

Whats good?

During our time with the Globe, it has proved its quality and convenience. It is fuss-free to use and fits in with daily life or occasional travels with ease. It does everything you need a stroller to do and does it whilst looking stylish too. Though the handlebars may be on the low side, we were bowled over at how easy the Globe was to use and how it slotted perfectly into our hectic lifestyle with three children. The wheels are small and nippy. Initially we were apprehensive about the wheel material but on pushing the stroller for a while we can confirm that they give a really smooth push and our reservations were unfounded. This is also helped by the fact that there is suspension on all four wheels. The handlebar is pretty low and isn't adjustable but is really comfortable to hold and fits into the palm of your hand neatly. Our 5'6" tester found the handle a comfortable height and we love how it is covered in a leather-feel material, which adds an extra little touch of luxury.
