Description

The makers of The Famous Grouse pride themselves on the high standard of their Blended Whisky and the consistency they have always kept. In the event of any safety concerns or for any other information about a product please carefully read any instructions provided on the label or packaging and contact the manufacturer. A smooth liqueur infused with citrus fruit, spices, Scotch and Bourbon, Famous Grouse Liqueur was produced for only 5 years from 2003 until 2008. The range was expanded in recent years to include Snow Grouse, Naked Grouse, Black Grouse, and Popular Spiced.

Glayva is made from a blend of aged Scotch whiskies, a selected range of spices, Mediterranean tangerines, cinnamon, almonds and honey. Despite having lost its spiritual home with the sale of Glenturret in 2019, The Famous Grouse remains as popular as ever. On the palate it is light and balanced with bursting flavours of spice, barley, caramel and a touch of smoke. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.Today, Famous Grouse Whisky is the UK’s second Best Selling Blended Scotch Whisky and in the top 30 largest whisky brands in the world.

Today is has become one of the most recognisable brands in the whole Scotch whisky world, and under the ownership of Highland Distillers became the first blend to have its own visitor centre, formerly located at the Glenturret distillery. The General Wine Company is a family-owned and operated wine merchant in Liphook, Hampshire, England. This milestone started in 1993 and is proof of talent in the craftsmanship of malt master David Stewart, who developed a procedure in 1982, which is known as 'Wood Finishing' today.

Keeping these high standards has made Famous Grouse Whisky Scotland's favourite Whisky for over 40 years. The story goes that former master distiller John Ramsey got inspired during a cold night at a remote distillery where he had some mandarins and ginger cake along with a few drams. The driver will input your year of birth into their device and may then require an ID check to complete the age verification process. We believe production of this Liqueur stopped sometime around 2008 and unfortunately for it's fans ever since it's been almost impossible to obtain. The brand passed from the Gloag family to Highland Distillers in 1970, and is now owned by Edrington.
