In an airtight container, they’ll keep for about a week out on the counter, and about 2 weeks in the fridge. Our version looks just the same as those plastic-wrapped store goodies. But the real chocolate tastes so much more rich and delightful! The box is an exciting contrast of corrugated card and geometric metallic foil that is similar to art deco-style ornamentation. Additionally, the modest color palette feels distinctive and contemporary. Like dark chocolate, milk chocolate includes cocoa beans, cocoa butter, and sugar, along with (surprise!) milk. The added dairy gives the chocolate a velvety texture, creamy taste, and lighter color, though the cacao percentage tends to be lower than dark chocolate for a less intensely chocolaty flavor.
