Jocasta Jocasta Jocasta... Absolutely wonderful! The infiltration of the temple was a really strong point for me... You really got a sense of how much old Jocasta really cared for the archives, and it was awesome to see her fight for what she really cared about. The way she went out was absolutely brutal, but I love the tie in that Luke eventually found the interim archive laid out by her decades before. Full June 2023 Marvel Comics solicitations: New 'Hulk' and 'Ultimate Invasion' coming on AIPT (archived from the original) This book explains that, and does so with a path to the answer. Honestly, it's one of these interstitial, side-canon books that immediately justifies its existence by telling a hell of a good tale showing Vader in a way I haven't, frankly, seen him before and putting him into really strong story showing him building himself to earning being that right hand to the Emperor. MARVEL COMICS March 2016 Solicitations on Newsarama.com ( December 15, 2015) (archived from the original on April 1, 2019) As for the comics, I mentioned to an employee of Chapters one day that I was a Star Wars fan, and they told me that as a Star Wars, it was imperative that I read the new Darth Vader comics. Now… I’ve been shying away from anything “new” and Star Wars, because Disney took the expanded universe that I cherished SO much as a kid and teen and threw it in the trash without a second thought, or thinking about how angry it would make Star Wars fans. But I gave in, and thought I’d give them a read… and man was I bored.

But Darth Vader was not always Darth Vader. Before, he was Anakin Skywalker, The Chosen One. He was destined to bring balance to the Force and was trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi to become a Jedi. He was one of the main protagonists of the prequel trilogy. Collects Star Wars: Rebels Magazine #1–#35, #37, #39 and Star Wars: Rebels Animation Magazine #1–#4. There was no new comic in #36 and #38, it was instead two reprints. Forces of Destiny: Ahsoka & Padmé #1 (one-shot collected in Star Wars Forces of Destiny taking place between episodes 3.09 & 3.10)

Darth Vader Canon Reading Order (Marvel)

When Skywalker chose to turn to the dark side of the Force, and pledged his allegiance to the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, his alter ego, Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith, was created. Interview: Kieron Gillen's Darth Vader looks behind the mask by Kamen, Matt on Wired UK ( February 10, 2015) (archived from the original on September 18, 2020) Exactly, Beetee. If people treated droids with more respect, none of this would be necessary. The rudeness is simply intolerable. … Yes, on the bright side, the explosions are very pretty.” - Triple Zero [000]. Optional reading. Explore the history of Anakin Skywalker before he took the name Dark Vader. The following issues occurs during Anakin’s training.

Age of Rebellion: Darth Vader #1 (One-Shot taking place between Darth Vader #10 & 11). Written by Greg Pak. Marvel's new July 2022 comics and covers revealed on Newsarama (archived from the original on April 21, 2022)Collects Star Wars Adventures issues 0–8, 10, 11, Star Wars Adventures Free Comic Book Day 2018 and Star Wars Adventures Annual 2018 In A New Hope Vader is oddly muted compared to what he'd be later, and on a meta level this series felt like showing how he gets to his most iconic portrayal. But while Vader is obviously great, it doesn't shy away from doing new things with the canon and introducing three new beloved characters who get a lot of use elsewhere- Doctor Aphra, Triple Zero, and Beetee. The three bring plenty of laugh out loud moments. The book was written by Greg Pak (hey, that’s me!) with line art by Raffaele Ienco, colors by Federico Blee, letters by Joe Caramagna, and a cover by Leinil Yu and Sunny Gho. MARVEL Not Releasing Any New Titles This Week Print or Digitally, But May Change in Future on Newsarama.com ( March 31, 2020) (archived from the original on March 31, 2020)
