Let’s take a look at just how many trophies Arsenal have won throughout their 130-year history. All Arsenal Trophies In 1936, Herbert Chapman’s manager proposed a new art deco logo: a monogram hexagon. The letters C and A intersect together with the soccer ball form the initials of the AFC club. The same sign adorned the stadium in Highbury for several decades. 1949 – 1994

Still, just because there haven’t been many goals scored, that doesn’t mean there haven’t been any good goals in the few we managed.Adding all these together, Arsenal have won 63 trophies, however, we’re not Tottenham, so what about just trophies that mean something? (MARTYN HAYHOW/AFP/ Getty Images) Arsenal trophies that matter The visual identity of the famous English football club is based on the crest of the Metropolitan Borough of Woolwich, white it was formed. And until today it stays a tribute to the roots and heritage of the iconic team. 1888 – 1922 Timbers, Brigadier Ken (2011). The Royal Arsenal, Woolwich. London: Royal Arsenal Woolwich Historical Society. The Royal Brass Foundry was renamed the Royal Gun Factory in 1855, and its workshops expanded into the Great Pile (Dial Arch) quadrangles. For the first time it diversified into manufacture of iron cannons (which had previously always been commissioned from private contractors); for this it developed a new and much larger foundry complex (on the far side of the Shot and Shell Foundry) which was completed in 1857. The new foundry building, which still stands, was subdivided into three sections (for moulding, casting and trimming) and complemented by a separate forge and boring mill. The early years of its work were defined by famed arms manufacturer William George Armstrong, who in 1859 made his patented designs for rifled ordnance available for government use; (the Arsenal had previously been unable to replicate its effectiveness in-house). He was duly rewarded with a knighthood and the part-time position of Superintendent of the Royal Gun Factory at Woolwich; after further expansion of the factory complex he resigned in 1863 following the demonstration of an even more powerful rifled gun by his rival Sir Joseph Whitworth. [7] Abel's Laboratory, Building 20 Completed guns could then be taken through what is now Dial Arch into a complex known as the 'Great Pile of buildings' (built 1717-20) to be finished and stored. Behind the surviving frontage and archway was a small courtyard in which the newly forged guns were turned, washed and engraved; beyond which two large gun-carriage storehouses stood (one for the Navy, one for the Army) at either end of a larger quadrangle, with workshops alongside.

The iconic art-deco crest of the football club was designed in 1936 and stayed with the team for 13 years. It was a red and white emblem, consisting of a hexagonal frame with stylized letters “AC” and a red ball in the center. The logo was bright and instantly recognizable, extremely stylish and modern. 1949 – 1994 Colour-coded map showing the full extent of the Royal Arsenal in 1931. Buildings are coloured according to their department: green (Royal Gun & Carriage Factory), light grey (Royal Ammunition Factory), red (Army Ordnance Stores), blue (Royal Naval Armament Depot), dark grey (Engineering dept), yellow (Inspection dept) and light brown (Chief Superintendent of Ordnance Factories: central offices and stores). Parts of the central area are outlined in red (for the Royal Filling Factory), grey (Proof & Experimental Establishment) or brown (Research Establishment). To the east, isolated magazines and other 'danger buildings' are scattered across Plumstead and Erith Marshes. A few years after Koscielny, Gabriel joined the club from Villarreal. He had his moments in an Arsenal shirt, but generally never seemed to settle and was a little bit bonkers. In 2001 the logo was redesigned again. The lines and letters on the red shield are now colored gold. All the elements are enlarged — the gold cannon, green and red crest and the gothic lettering on the top. As for the “Victoria Concordia Crescit” inscription on the ribbon under the shield, it also gained a more modern look and is now written in a bold sans-serif, using red capital letters. 2002 – TodayIn 1925 the cannon changes its direction and gets more distinct contours and a darker shade. “The Gunners” inscription was placed near the cannon, on its right. 1930 – 1936 Arsenal Football Club Trophies Arsenal have been winning silverware since 1889 – 21 years before Chelsea were even founded.
