Description

This rechargeable screwdriver is more versatile than its competitors. There are 6 settings for torque control (5 forward and 1 reverse) and variable speed control. It’s controlled by how tightly you squeeze the trigger. So, you can exert a greater level of control over your job and, crucially, avoid over-tightening or damaging screw heads.

The weight of any handheld tool is important, particularly for prolonged use, and electric screwdrivers are no exception. More powerful versions will tend to weigh a little more. Due to the small button you press to operate the driver, it’s not as easy to use compared with the large trigger on the Hanamtek. A trigger is much easier to use at awkward angles. It couldn’t be easier to use. Pushing the screwdriver into the screw to make it rotate feels natural. The secret to not stripping a screw is in the downward pressure. The push design means you shouldn’t slip off or cam out a screw. The quality of bits you get with the kit isn’t the greatest. They will probably need replacing before long. The IXO’s plentiful power is contained within a very compact footprint. This rechargeable screwdriver is also extremely light, weighing just over 600 grams. This factor, the soft-grip handle and the overall ergonomic design make it extremely comfortable to use. An integrated task light comes in useful when working in dark corners such as under work surfaces. This Makita Electric Screwdriverhas a slightly different profile to the products previously discussed, with a long but comfortable soft-grip handle. The handle can be pivoted from pistol grip to inline allowing easier access when working in confined spaces. The LED light is helpful in this scenario too. Once you’ve used an electric screwdriver for putting in or taking out a few screws, you’ll never look at a manual screwdriver again. Electric screwdrivers are lightweight, easy to use and more powerful than you might think. Pistol Grip or Straight Grip?

Electric screwdrivers fall into three camps – pistol grip screwdrivers that give you more stability and grip, straight-handled screwdrivers that can fit into the tightest spaces, and those that convert from a straight handle to a pistol grip to give you the best of both worlds. Getting the Most out of your Electric Screwdriver I wish this had a speed selector as well as a torque selector. It runs quite slowly, but it’s either on or off, with no variation. This isn’t a heavy-duty tool, but it still delivers 5 Nm of torque and a nippy 360 rpm. It’s got more than enough power to drive all sorts of screws around the house or garden. But you’re not buying this to replace a full-size driver anyway. It’s the right size to keep in a kitchen drawer for when you need it.They’ve included a mini ratchet wrench in with the accessories. I think I’ll use this all the time, it’s just really handy. FFX are proud to offer a range of products from Makita, the foremost manufacturer of power tools in the world. With close to 100 years experience, their products are lauded the world over for both their performance and quality. Innovation : Key to Makita's vision is the constant strive for innovation in their technology and their products. From their safety solutions like AVT and dust extraction, through to their Lithium-Ion battery and chargers technology, Makita is at the forefront for new ideas. This is all down to their dedicated research and development centre in Japan, where engineers work hard to constantly improve their products in all aspects, from power consumption through to ergonomic design and function. Unlike NiCad batteries, lithium-ion batteries do not have a charge memory. This means it’s better for your battery to recharge it after a partial discharge when possible rather than waiting for it to fully discharge each time. Once your power tool begins to lose power it’s best not to force it to continue as this can sometimes trigger a safety circuit that makes it difficult to recharge.
