With the GMMK, you no longer have to purchase an entire new keyboard, or disassemble and solder your switches – you can simply pop out the switch just like a keycap, and mix/match to test out and use any combination of switches you desire. All this board needs is some tape and foam mod, also clip the stabs and do band-aid mod and it’s superb. Since the Glorious Pandas have an opaque housing, the RGB lighting effects may be a tad dimmer than what you would get with a transparent body switch. The GLORIOUS GMMK and the GLORIOUS GMMK 2 are very similar mechanical keyboards that are designed to be customizable.

Also, the GMMK has no wireless functionality, so you'll always need to have it plugged in when using it. It has a fairly low profile, and the front edge is very thin, so some people might not need a wrist rest.

We've also added a new Switches test box, added additional test comparisons to our Hardware Customizability test box that we introduced with our last Test Bench. The barebones kit I received was the recent one which has some of the issues like dampening under keyboard and overall problem of keyswitches coming loose while removing the keycaps etc has been addressed to some extent. Just keep in mind that if you are going to use this for macOS, the function row keys may not be the same as what you're used to, and media playback requires the fn key. Please note though, some swtiches will have 5 pins at the bottom and cannot be directly inserted into the keyboard. The Glorious GMMK TKL follows an interesting concept: Instead of forcibly removing or replacing the switches on the favorite keyboard with power or soldering iron, the switches from Cherry, Kailh, Gateron and Co. A chic bezel made of black anodized aluminum not only gives the keyboard a classy appearance, but also ensures high stability in the heat of the battle. The chamfered edge was a nice touch and one that we appreciated even though Glorious didn’t have to include it. Outside this ,everything is good, there is tons of spare switches in this kit and there was almost no bent pin during installation.
