Description

The car is for sale due to the owner's recent health issues and to allow Peter time to concentrate on his latest and, hopefully, less challenging project. Gary Thomas' Force PC, chassis 27 built in 2005 for Peter Radnall as the sister car of Dave Kimberley's car. V5 in my name car has been on SORN'd for a good while but I see no reason why you could not get an MOT for road use or a different hillclimb class. Following a period in storage, we have rebuilt the car using a specialist manufactured replacement monocoque, roll hoop and suspension components. Freshly painted in its original livery this stunning example has a low miles TT Motors engine, new clutch, bag tank, nose cone and wings.

Complete with a fascinating history file including SCCA Log Book, period programmes/results, copies of all previous FIA papers, correspondence with Hutchison and most recent programmes/results. It requires tyres, extinguisher and belts and is competitively priced to take account of this. Would make a highly entertaining car for classic speed events. Sister car to the Lola campaigned by Peter Voigt. The BT38 was the first monocoque production Brabham, and the designation applied to F2, Formula Atlantic and F3 versions. The owner of this stunning example has carried out and commissioned extensive research into its history. Starting out as an F3 car run by the Australian International Racing Organisation of Brian Mcguire and future world champion Alan Jones, it was subsequently used in Irish Formula Atlantic, re-tubbed and became a very successful hillclimb car in the Channel Islands. Following a period of inactivity the BT38 had a full recommission and conversion to F2 specification by Edginton Racing in 2020, including a new clutch, dampers, high pressure fuel pump, pre-warmer and safety equipment.Hillclimbing in Italy became famous in the 1970s, early 1980s, between 1994 and 2000 and at the end of the 2000s, especially in the last two periods thanks to TV services, magazines and live Internet commentaries. This unique and highly successful Sports Libre car was built and maintained by Ian Dayson at Force Racing Cars. It is a regular FTD winner against single seat racing cars, perpetual class winner and multiple record holder. It was re-imported into the UK in 2012 by club racer Steve Baker who has since commissioned the rebuild and now offers it for sale. The rear drivetrain is not the usual Jedi/Mini. It has a Quaife/Radical ATB differential on bespoke carriers, through to Lobro joints, lightweight driveshafts honed from finest unbreakium, factory billet drive flanges and HD CV joints. It hasn’t broken yet - only the bank balance.

The MG Car Club of Queensland Inc. (est. 1954) built the Mount Cotton Hillclimb circuit and continues with its current management and operation. The first event held at this facility was on Sunday 18 February 1968. The dedicated 946 metres of tarmac circuit hosts the annual Queensland Hillclimb Championships, the Club's annual six round Hillclimb series and inter-club competitions. The Australian Hillclimb Championships have been held there on at least 9 occasions. Recognised as one of the most powerful sports racers ever to have competed in speed events, the SPA Judd is a fabulous piece of engineering which started life as a 2.8 litre Hart powered car in the early 90s. Original owner David Render used the car in hills and sprints before selling it on to Ferrari & Lancia enthusiast Christian Mineeff. Christian then had the car completely reworked and converted to F1 power with a 3.5 litre Judd CV power plant. Aero developments by Gould Engineering in the late 1990s made this car the fastest sports racer on the hills bar none. Subsequently owned by Matthew Harrison and Chris Cannell, the car has most recently been campaigned with some success by Tom Brown and Steve Cunningham. Powered by a mighty ex Leyton House Judd CV 3.5 litre F1 engine, which still runs F1 cams and sounds utterly superb! It has about total of 35 miles on engine since build by Powertec - sealed tags are attached to key components (head etc). Fresh and very sharp with plenty of torque compared to the more modern injected engines. It has 4x race keihin flat slide carbs so super responsive. Dyno chart reading 135hp and flat torque curve with peak at 78 lb/ft at rear wheels (usually lose about 40hp from crank via the box, chain , lsd and props).

One of the most well known Slovak drivers competing in local and international hillclimb events is Jozef Béreš. Béreš is also very popular on social media networks thanks to the videos of him driving his legendary Audi Quattro S1 racecar. [8] Switzerland [ edit ] South Australia features the historic permanent venue Collingrove, [12] as well as annual temporary venues including Mount Alma Mile, Willunga, Legend Of The Lakes and the state's longest course is the Eden Valley Hillclimb at 3.7km (2.3mi). Fitted with a superb Cosworth DFR that had a complete rebuild by Tony Ireland only six hillclimbs ago.
