These rich chocolate brownies are ultra chewy with gooey centers and crisp edges. While I’d give them a 9/10 for flavor, I bumped them down to 8/10 because of the baking directions. The box said to bake them at 325 degrees F for 48-52 minutes (+5 minutes if you use a glass pan), and I found mine were completely cooked through at the 25 minutes. And super fudgy. Have I mentioned that yet? Regardless, it bears repeating. I mean, just look at them!!!

Use a metal baking pan if possible. I find a metal pan helps conduct heat better when making gluten-free brownies and baked goods. I also like using this light metal 9×9 pan. If all you have is a glass 9×9 pan that’s fine! It will work as well. If possible, use room-temperature ingredients. The ingredients mix better and coat the flour better. Still perfectly edible, but not much of a brownie. Also, make sure you always use some degree of dark chocolate to make brownies for the best, fudgy finish. My brownies are really wet in the middle instead of being fudgy. What did I do? Use a baking scale: For best results, I recommend using a baking scale to measure out your ingredients, especially your dry ingredients like flour and cocoa powder. Too much flour can result in a cakey or dry brownie.I LOVE Enjoy Life brand. Their allergy-friendly chocolate chips are TOP notch, and their pristine allergy-friendly ingredients and production methods are beyond admirable. Their brownie mix is made with teff (a whole grain flour) and includes probiotics, which is an interesting selling point. I love that it’s allergy friendly and pretty widely available. That said, the flavor didn’t quite come through for me. I found they weren’t very chocolatey, and they had a strong flour taste (I think it was from the teff flour). My kids didn’t want to finish their square.
