Through my first few laps around Silverstone, two factors become immediately clear, comfort and stability. Both can be chalked up to the Playseat Trophy’s unique frameless seat which, without the determinate restrictions of a moulded seat, shaped around me and let my body sit how it wanted. I felt well supported and as if the Trophy G Edition had welcomed me into the rig as a whole. Update below in the comments as I couldn’t put it here. Long story short the brand and the trophy have both disappointed me. The Logitech G Edition of the Playseat Trophy may just bring a fresh coat of paint, but that’s all it needed to do as the underlying frame is excellent to begin with. This is a quality racing seat, strong enough to withstand Logitech’s own G Pro wheel and with the compatibility to handle direct drive wheels from other brands like the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro too. The angle of the seat can be adjusted via two rails (photo: Playseat). It should be noted, however, that this simultaneously reduces or increases the distance to the base. This can then be corrected again via the general adjustment of the rig’s position. Here you can adjust the length of the rig to your own needs with two screws on each side. Conclusion

Multiple adjustment points From wheel angle to total length, there’s a number of ways to dial in the perfect fit. I have had a Playseat Challenge for 3 weeks and while it is a great rig, it is not the best to use under loadcells. Some say its ok, others don’t. I didn’t notice the movement at first and thought it was fine but then when I really focused on hitting higher inputs to see if it would lift, it did and it was quite off putting. I think the reason I didn’t notice it before was because I would unconsciously stop at the threshold of where the chair would lift up. I was actually compensating for this by braking earlier than I needed. Within the first 5 laps of being on the Trophy I was 1 second faster. I could confidently brake later and much more consistently. The Trophy is a massive lump, however. Unlike the foldable Dark Matter GT, you'll have to find somewhere to store the Playseat Trophy in its entirety, as you're not taking this thing apart to put it away. You'd never use it again. As such, it's definitely a luxury to have any space for such a thing. This will be my first Reddit post and hopefully will help someone out. I thought I would write a review on the Playseat Trophy as I couldn’t find many when I was looking. The next step is to pull the seat cover over the frame and secure it with a total of 10 Velcro fasteners. In addition, a lumbar support strap is included for extra support.

The Playseat Trophy Logitech G Edition is a fresh coat of paint for a racing seat that represents a gear shift between high-end casual and pro standard gear.
