This is the show’s 6th production on this exclusive UK and Ireland tour. It is the 10th anniversary of Peppa Pig Live and the 8th consecutive year of the show playing in the West End Theatre during Christmas. The Story Get ready for a road-trip full of fun adventures. Peppa is heading for an epic adventure with George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. This is a road trip that no one will forget as all of your favourite characters explore ancient castles and deep, dark caves; come face-to-face with dragons and dinosaurs; and, of course, no road trip is complete with an ice cream stop! Not only will Peppa and friends be jumping in muddy puddles across the UK and Ireland, but also making a big splash in the West End for a strictly limited Christmas season. The London season runs from 2 December 2021 – 2 January 2022, at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, for a limited 48 performances.

Peppa Pig is planning an awesome day out and everyone's invited to join in the fun. Rounding off a UK and Ireland tour, Peppa Pig Best Day Ever is at Theatre Royal Haymarket for a limited run this Christmas. Featuring everyone's favourite characters plus a very special festive guest, the production (produced by Fierylight, in partnership with Hasbro Inc.) offers the youngest of audiences their very first taste of a West End show.

Peppa Pig is so excited. She’s going on a special day out with George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. Peppa knows that it’s going to be her very best day ever!

Performance Times for Peppa Pig's Best Day Ever

These can be left from 40 minutes before the show in our cloakroom – they must be able to collapse and should be before handing to our team. Space is limited. Times Peppa Pig is excited for a special day out with George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig – it’s going to be her best day ever (apparently) on a road-trip full of fun adventures. From castles to caves, dragons to dinosaurs and ice-creams to muddy puddles, including Miss Rabbit, Mr Bull, Suzy Sheep, Gerald Giraffe and more! Miss Rabbit shows them around the throne room where they take turns being king and queen. Then they go to the banquet room. There is another fun segment in the dark involving floating food, cheese and dabbing knights! The kids and adults loved it. Peppa Pig is excited to be going on a special day out with George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig – it’s going to be her best day ever!

Obviously no castle is complete without spotting a dragon, George Pig was thoroughly overjoyed and so were the audience. Fans of the show will be pleased to hear there was jumping in muddy puddles and the obligatory Bing Bong song too. Peppa Pig’s Best Day Ever was just over an hour long with a short interval The set looked cheap and there could have been so much more done to make it look magical. Daddy and Mummy Pig were played by actors in costumes but kids Peppa and George were played by puppets operated by people on stage. Whilst I understand children probably didn’t notice the humans behind the puppets, there are so many talented child actors who I am sure could have played the parts in costumes to make it more realistic. It's a good opportunity for very young children to experience a big theatre production in a relaxed environment, with familiar characters. Energetic Lizzie Burder gives CBeebies presenter vibes as she leads the children in an almost endless stream of sing-songs. There is a decent mix of original songs (with music by Mani Svavarsson and lyrics by Matt Lewis) and familiar classics, although at times it feels more like a toddler music class than a West End show. Are you ready for a road trip full of fun and adventure? There will be loads of all of our favourite things, from castles and caves, dragons and dinosaurs, ice-creams and muddy puddles! There will be something for the whole family and all of their friends to enjoy. Miss Rabbit, Mr Bull, Suzy Sheep and Gerald Giraffe will be there with plenty of others. Over the past 10 years, Peppa Pig Live have created 6 hugely successful productions, which have been enjoyed by over 1.5 million in the UK alone. Peppa Pig Live has also toured throughout the US and Australia and played 8 consecutive West End Christmas seasons.

At the end, when everyone on stage is jumping in muddy puddles, people ran up and down the audience with water guns, spraying the audience which was very unexpected and met with a mixed response with some children thinking it was hilarious and others crying and wondering what was going on. Peppa Pig Best Day Ever may not be the best show ever but, judging by the happy little faces flooding out of the theatre, it's still a hit amongst Peppa's most devoted fans.
