I think this expansion brings with it some interesting developments to the game, and a great opportunity to mix things up if you own the previous expansions. The new objectives are more complex and require careful planning and risk management. Evil Queen: Her objective is to find Snow White and defeat her. She is unique in that she doesn't have a vanquish action, but instead has to change power into poisons to defeat heroes. I almost wish there was an option to not play a fate card if neither of the two appealed but alas, those are not the rules and pesky Scar has bested me more than once as a result. “Oh, I love it when I’m nasty.” That’s fine too. I love games that have a strong ‘take that’ style of gameplay, but it’s something to be wary of if you have played other Villainous games and expect more of the same. We won’t be covering those here, but they pretty much follow the same basic formula – if you’re a superhero or sci-fi fan then Marvel board games or Star Wars board games could be a better bet.
