Description

With the iO10, you get an iO Sense charging stand, which is magnetic and charges the brush in up to 3 hours. But, there is extra tech built-in. The oscillating, rotating and mico vibrating brush head is clinically proven and my at home plaque tests have confirmed it manages to lift the bacteria and debris really well. It’s a little more nuanced than this, but you can essentially brush just the outside surface of the teeth within a zone and it will imply good coverage, which isn’t strictly true. Large rubber grips and gloss plastics have been replaced with matt plastic handles with a resistive finish. KEEP YOUR MOUTH HEALTHIER FOR LONGER! Join 8 out of 10 people that became better brushers thanks to iO PERSONALIZED GUIDANCE in just 1 week.

Thank you for the in depth wonderful information/video and I hope all my blubbering helps some of y’all on the fence as I was, and/or on a limited budget that could use a coupon/discount…like me. Oral-B also has discounts currently on-going now as well, so do your homework and happy shopping and better dental health! Reply The iO3 is the main exception though. No case comes supplied with the standard model. But there are variants where this is supplied. The case will protect the brush handle from damage and accidental activation, whilst also protecting up to 2 brush heads. Combines the unique round brush head from Oral-B with gentle micro-vibrations for a fresh, clean mouthfeel and 100% healthier gums in one week The Series 3 has 3 cleaning modes (daily clean, sensitive & whitening) compared to the 4 of the Series 4 (daily clean, sensitive, super sensitive & whitening). The extra mode the iO4 has is super sensitive. One more question. Which one has softer brush heads? Maybe it doesn’t matter because it has the pressure sensor. Assuming you want something a bit more capable, then the iO6 represents the best value option. It has many of the most desirable features of the iO range, including the in-handle display. But, it remains relatively affordable and you get the best of both worlds, so to speak. I do like having the sensitive and super sensitive modes as an option. These are good for new electric toothbrush users, for those with gum recession or trying to overcome gum disease. But, they are not essential. Get a uniquely personalized clean with 6 Smart Brushing Modes including Daily Clean, Whiten, Gum Care, Sensitive, Super Sensitive, and Intense.

The biggest benefit is that it makes it much easier to switch between the brushing modes or see which one you have selected.

The Series 9 comes with a power2go charging case that allows the iO to be charged inside whereas the Series 8 comes with a standard travel case.

All can be used on braces, crowns, veneers and implants. And no one mode is going to deliver brushing results that are clinically superior. Your brushing technique and frequency are likely to have a bigger impact than a particular mode. What pushed me to buy an electric toothbrush was that I was brushing my teeth way too hard, according to my dentist. With an electric brush, you don't have to push to know your teeth are getting clean. And with the Oral-B iO, there's no need to guess about the level of pressure you're applying. When you're being too rough, a ring on the handle lights up red and a "reduce pressure" message appears in the app.

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to include links in my comment but here’s the link to it and maybe you can confirm which model it looks like to you. Smart Pressure Sensor displays a red light when brushing too hard and green when brushing just right. Oral-B ROUND brush heads REACH WHERE RECTANGULAR manual brushes DON'T. Experience our BEST CLEAN from Oral-B, #1 brand most used by dentists worldwide. I can’t categorically say what’s causing such variance. My suspicion is the color displays. I will often see it activated as a result of vibration or movement nearby, thus drawing power from the battery. The iO7, 8 and 9 come with a premium magnetic charging stand The Series 5 has 5 cleaning modes (daily clean, sensitive, super sensitive, intense & whitening) compared to the 4 of the Series 4 (daily clean, sensitive, super sensitive & whitening). The extra mode the iO5 has is intense.

A brush head should be replaced after about 3 months. After this, the bristles clean less effectively and are more abrasive on the teeth and gums. There may also be an increased amount of bacterial build up.Overall, brush head reminders are a feature that are nice-to-have, but not critical. If you’re organized enough you can simply use a recurring calendar reminder. The fact that they are included on each iO model means you don’t need to factor this feature too heavily into your choice of iO brush models. Battery life should be similar, but premium models are inconsistent
