Paris is filled with small, romantic restaurants serving delicious French cuisine. This is another reason why Paris is the number one destination for couples looking for romance. The city has a unique atmosphere and it is full of great places for couples to enjoy their time together. So, all in all, I think Paris is called the City of Love for some good reasons. The monument is a stunning example of sculpture from the first half of the 19th century. It marks the sacrifice of French soldiers, especially those who fought during the Napoleonic Wars. Inside the arch and on top of the storied monument, is carved the names of generals and the wars fought by France.

Most of Paris’ most iconic landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Basilica of Sacré-Coeur will light up, and it’s quite magical! Like most Head for Points readers, I anticipate that choosing a chain – whether airline, hotel or restaurant – brings with it a degree of consistency, expectation and, of most interest to us, a reward structure. I admittedly do fall victim to the latter, but can’t help feeling sometimes that hotel rooms and lobbies begin to blur together with their stylistic similarities. Can we not agree that if you were to be teleported into one of these rooms you may very well not know what city you are in (without obvious tell-tale signs like the view out your window or dial-out instructions on the phone)?
