Description

You have 30 different grind settings to choose from, giving you complete control over the fineness of your espresso grounds. This helps you get the perfect flavour profile for your espresso every time. Pros & Cons of Barista Touch With a fabulously simple swipe and select touchscreen you can choose from espresso, latte, cappuccino, Americano, or flat white and customise them to precisely match your mood. And you can even programme up to 8 personalised coffees to suit everyone in your family, with individual icons to make them easy to locate on screen – stronger or weaker, hotter or cooler, frothier or not, the choices are all at your fingertips, plus the innovative heating system means it’s ready to brew in just 3 seconds. As ever, the first step is to grind the beans. Reach around the side of the machine and you can adjust the grind size (it’s the only setting you can’t adjust with the touchscreen) and you can also adjust how many seconds it grinds for. Place the portafilter into the grinding cradle, and a single tap of the grind button deposits the ground coffee where you need it. Push the portafilter inwards, however, and you can manually stop the grinding process whenever you like – you can even control the grind completely manually by simply pressing the portafilter in to start and stop the process. The hot water outlet sits between the hands-free grinding cradle and the group head that accommodates the portafilter. You can get a blast of boiling water for up to 90 seconds, so it’s entirely feasible to use the rapid boil feature of the machine to make your teas and infusions. The other category is the coffee lover who wants control over the brewing process and wants to learn how to make the best espresso in the comfort of their home. If you fall into the latter category, then the Breville Barista Pro or Express is the way to go.

the Barista Touch™ | Sage (UK) - Breville

Getting the right amount of coffee into a filter basket can be difficult, but for this Sage provides its Razor tool. It looks a little like a credit card made out of metal. After tamping, you drop the Razor into a filter basket and twist to remove excess coffee. It’s a simple operation to create a bespoke blend. And the more you use the machine, the more you learn to perfect itIf the fault is the steam wand sensor some one with an Oracle had this problem. Seems to have occurred while cleaning it probably nozzle off but he didn't say. Repositioning the sensor fixed it but had the wand replaced anyway. Coffee Classics via a call and fix. They are probably the people who can say what the codes actually mean as well. I previously worked at a leading espresso machine brand called Sanremo. I spent over six years in the sales and technical departments, recommending high-end espresso machines to a wide range of businesses, so I'm familiar with the coffee industry. Neither is this just a hobby for me. Precisely controlled, digitally monitored (PID) water temperature minimises fluctuations in temperature that might affect the flavour of your brew, matching the quality of coffee produced by professional machines. The ThermoJet heating system enables this coffee maker to heat to an optimum temperature in just 3 seconds

Next, a recipe shows you how long water will be poured, through the coffee grounds. Again, you can adjust this to suit your tastes. There’s a dedicated hot water spout for topping up drinks, with the volume of water fully controllable. And, if you’re making a milky drink, you can adjust both the milk temperature and amount of froth. What’s your coffee style? A leisurely cappuccino? Flat white? An intense shot of espresso? Coffee has become something of an art form, yet it’s never been easier to make café-style coffee in the comfort of your own home thanks to the many bean to cup coffee makers now available.

For a little more manual hands-on experience, the Barista Express offers a fabulous alternative to the Barista Touch, for a more affordable price. You’ll smile more, when you have one of these. It’s not cheap but we think it’s the perfect balance of precision, quality, beauty, reliability and consistency that not only brings a smile with that coffee, again and again and again. The Sage Barista Touch offers you a touchscreen control for complete convenience. You can control your drinks' settings and customisations with a simple touch.

Oracle Touch Automatic Espresso Machine, Bean to Cup Sage the Oracle Touch Automatic Espresso Machine, Bean to Cup

You’ll want to keep the built-in grinder clean, particularly after using very oily beans. This is best done by running the grinder on empty after each load of beans you grind to clean out any residue. After every three or four loads of beans, it’s wise to use grinder cleaning pellets to keep the inside in tip-top condition. Why buy the Sage Barista Touch? It is messy compaired with the super auto machines, well untill you have to take them apart and clean them that is. Not only is this machine super-simple to operate, but the touchscreen interface also makes for an enjoyable and easily navigated custom-controllable experience. If you want your milk a little hotter or you prefer a finer grind to your beans, then you make your selection with a simple sliding-scale interface. Finally, you also get to try out our Rotate espresso, which offers a sweet dark chocolate flavour that will make your palate sing. You also receive a professional, stainless steel milk texturing jug. The jug interacts with a built-in temperature sensor that ensures that the milk reaches the right temperature for your desired texture and mouthfeel. The Barista Touch has all the benefits of that older Barista Express and Barista Pro, plus, the best automatic features of the fully automatic, way more expensive top of the range Oracle Touch. If you want everything done for you , opt for the Oracle touch if you can afford it, but for much less, if you want to also understand your coffee making more, the Barista Touch allows you to have your cake and eat it… for a much smaller price. Positioned at the higher end of the Sage and Breville range, this would be our perfect product. It would work for both of us ( Paul, and Aoibheann) in different ways.
