When used with a Makita Plunge Circular Saw (SP6000) - you have a more portable option to a table saw for ripping sheet material. The Guide Rail interacts with the Plunge Saw (not included) to provide smooth, dead-on straight cuts. Enables easier cuts in larger sheet goods, as the saw moves instead of the work piece (easier & safer to maneuver); no need to move around heavy work pieces, like with a table saw.

The fit is perfect making the two pieces of guide rails connect tightly together. A little pricey but works perfect. Compare to the one that the brand saw sales these are the best.
