Well, you'll find me enjoying an iced coffee (no matter the season) and trying out the latest brunch spots the city has to offer, or booking my next holiday. According to the stats, the Henry Quick should run for up to 70 minutes in standard mode and 16 minutes in boost. the Henry Quick is heavier than the Dyson V15 but lighter than the new Vax Blade 5 so it’s about average weight for a stick vac. I was sent this vacuum around two months ago to review in my two-bedroom flat that I share with my dog and my husband (not sure who is messier, tbh). Just bear in mind that when the roller brush is off, the LED light won't turn on to illuminate your path.

Yes, it comes with a wall-mount like other stick vacs but that doesn’t help when I’m actually using it. Upright vacuum cleaners with power cables are great for cleaning your living room carpet, as they're traditionally the most powerful and effective type of vacuum. LEDs built into the head are bright enough to light up your floor when it’s dark, but they turn on and off with the brush, so there’s no light when you turn off the brush. There’s a removable battery and charging cable, which can be used to charge the battery, whether or not it’s attached to the vacuum. The only difference between Henry and Hetty is their colour and name, as they are otherwise identical in functionality. There are three buttons: one to switch the device on and off; one to toggle Boost mode; and a third to switch off the brush bar and use suction only. Another unique selling point about the Henry Quick is that you can use it with scent capsules so that when you vacuum it leaves behind a nice scent. The only time it proved useful was when vacuuming thin mats which otherwise got sucked up into the brush. The only thing I will complain about when it comes to using the Henry Cordless vacuum on hard floors is that it's not the best at moving from one surface type to another. The design, unlike the latest brushes from Dyson and Shark, isn’t anti-tangle, so hair and other similar things will wind around the brush and need removing.

These vacuums come with a powerful direct-drive cleaner head that removes ground-in dirt from your carpet for a thorough clean. It’s a shame mixed packs aren’t available, and only one is included in the box, not a sample of each. In one particular room, it became difficult or impossible to push the Henry in certain directions, seemingly because the carpet had a deeper pile than others in the house.

My entire flat has hard flooring, so it was imperative that the Henry Cordless vacuum could cope with cleaning up messes on hard flooring. Not to mention, the vacuum is great for flat owners and for larger households alike thanks to its 70-minute battery life. It also collected a shedload of dust and other stuff I couldn’t see and it didn’t snowplough larger items on the hard floor like some vacs I’ve used. If I haven't cleaned my floor for a few days and it's looking like it's in need of vacuum then I'll turn on Boost Mode. The Henry Quick is available in three flavours – standard red, sleek graphite and Hetty Pink, which has the name Hetty sprawled all over one side of the dust canister instead of the word Henry.

The Henry Quick is the latest in a long line of Henry vacuuming products, which have become household names thanks to their affordable quality and quirky styling. As you can see from the chart, the Henry Quick only falls behind the Dyson V8 thanks to its failure to clean the Cheerio spill on hard floor.I don't have any carpets in my home, but I am set to get carpet in my spare bedroom soon, so I will use the Henry Cordless once this has been fit and I'll update this review with my verdict. It does take over two hours to fully charge up (150 minutes exactly), but with the amount of runtime you get with this product, I feel like this was to be expected. I tend to turn on the roller brush when cleaning the part of the rug that's underneath my bed as it means I can see. This allows for more versatility during cleaning, meaning you won't have to lug the entire appliance up and down the stairs if you're doing a spot clean, or worry about hose extensions if you're looking to vacuum the tops of bookshelves or ceilings. For anyone with allergies, small children, or sneezy pets, this vacuum cleaner seals all of the dust it collects so that when you empty it into your bin, you won't end up vacuuming around your bin afterwards.

All we will say is that you'll want to put the battery straight on charge as it will be running low. The problem, of course, is that pods are a consumable which cost money – once those initial 26 are used.

In all honesty, I didn’t have high hopes for this test because I’d already examined the clearance at the front of the floor head and it didn’t appear to have enough space to let a Cheerio through. Laura tested the vacuum on a mixture of carpet and laminate floors, rugs, upholstery and fleece pet bedding. However the Henry Quick proved a bit too powerful for our cheap and flimsy Ikea rug, even on normal mode, so this is something to bear in mind. The roller is easy to remove from the floor head for cleaning and it has ridges in the moulding that make it easy to get a pair of scissors between the roller and any trapped hair.
