Description

The very final part of the puzzle in setting up your Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals is done inside Assetto Corsa Competizione. The performance of the T-LCM Pedals shines through in various gaming situations, from casual gaming sessions to intense, competitive races. Whether you’re navigating the picturesque roads of Forza Horizon or engaged in a high-octane F1 race, the pedals consistently deliver impressive performance. You’re not just purchasing a set of gaming pedals; you’re investing in a comprehensive and immersive racing experience. For those serious about their gaming, especially racing enthusiasts, we believe the Thrustmaster T-LCM Pedals are a worthy investment that will elevate your gaming experience to new heights. Another of the best aspects of the Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals is the interchangeable brake spring. This allows you to change the resistance of the brake pedal, either to make it softer or stronger. Therefore, we recommend that you fully disconnect the cable you don’t need to play, adjust or test the pedal set.

The Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals are the latest and greatest pedals in the Thrustmaster line-up. In a first from Thrustmaster, their T-LCM pedals feature a high-quality load cell sensor. This means that they perfectly measure and transmit the force that you apply. The moment my foot touched the pedal, the real magic began. The T-LCM Pedals offer a responsive, precise, and fluid control that is unparalleled. Each press of the pedal, each subtle adjustment, registered immediately and accurately in-game. It felt like the barrier between me and the virtual racing world had been removed. As we cross the finish line of this review, it’s time to consolidate our thoughts on the Thrustmaster T-LCM Pedals. Reliability is another area where the T-LCM Pedals excel. They remain steadfast, maintaining their performance and precision, irrespective of the length of your gaming sessions. As we cruise into the final stretch of our review, it’s time to answer the burning question: are the Thrustmaster T-LCM Pedals worth the investment?

IMPORTANT NOTE: the T-LCM Pedals pedal set is a plug and play device.

In this game you can adjust the STEERING WHEEL ANGLE from 40° to 180° in SETTINGS / GAME / STEERING WHEEL ANGLE) Thrustmaster, the brainchild of the brilliant minds at Guillemot Corporation, has been revolutionising the gaming industry since its inception in 1990. Over the decades, they’ve solidified their reputation as a leading brand, pushing the boundaries of innovation to enhance our gaming experience. Thrustmaster has always been known for their high-quality products, and they’ve stayed true to their roots, continually producing top-tier gaming peripherals. Upon unboxing the T-LCM Pedals, you’re immediately greeted with a sense of sturdy construction and high-end finish. These pedals are built like a tank, thanks to the industrial-grade aluminium and steel. The robust nature of the materials used ensures that the pedals are built to last, delivering consistent performance for years to come.

For more information on our recommended connections for the T-LCM Pedals, please refer to the following article: This allows you to change how much force is recognised by games, whilst applying the same amount of force in real life. The real-life force is represented by the raw value, whilst the final value is the outputted value. For example, you can tune it so that 50% of actual force is recognised as 100%. This can become very useful if you struggle to put the required force into the pedal itself. However, at Coach Dave Academy, we recommend that you use the maximum force available as it allows for the most precise experience. To save your adjustments, the software will guide you on the procedure. Step 3: Identifying the available springs

Finally, since the main draw of these pedals is the customizable brake pedal, you should expect to be launching the calibration software fairly regularly. Unfortunately, during my testing, the app doesn't recognize the pedals connected through a Thrustmaster T248X racing wheel, even if my games do. With the calibration software, the braking force and the dead zones of the 3 pedals can be adjusted Once you have made your final adjustments, you are ready to take to Assetto Corsa Competizione with the best settings for the highly regarded Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals. Step 5: Mapping and Adjustments inside ACC By default, the pre-installed springs provide a middling resistance but can be swapped out for combinations of included, color-coded springs and flat washers. Adding more washers reduces the preload effect on the brake, making them more linear, just like the gas and clutch pedals. Independently adjustable pedals (height, distance and inclination) to optimize gaming comfort according to user preferences

As we wrap up this detailed inspection, it’s important to remember that every gamer is unique. What works for one might not work for another. But one thing is certain; the Thrustmaster T-LCM Pedals have a lot to offer, and they just might be the missing piece in your ultimate gaming setup puzzle. Comparison with Competitors Although they're a step above the standard sets included with most Thrustmaster racing wheels, there is an undeniable sidewards wobble on each of the T-LCM pedals. It's not too noticeable once you start playing, but there's undoubtedly some horizontal movement, especially on the brake. I mostly feel it while sitting on loading screens as I idly move the pedals around, but it's something to note. If you wish to make adjustments to your T-LCM Pedals, we strongly recommend that you run the T-LCM Calibration Software (see section above). In terms of how they feel and react in-game, they have been great. The clutch and gas pedal require little force to push and act as you would expect and the brake pedal allows for precision when braking and feels very realistic to one in a real car. I will admit that I did take a few days to get used to them and most people usually do. For optimal operation, we recommend that you connect the T-LCM Pedals using only one cable at a time, either the USB cable connected to the PC or the RJ12 cable connected to the racing wheel base.Load Cell force sensor technology: up to 220 lb / 100 kg of pressure, for the perfect amount of braking power. In the gaming peripherals market, Thrustmaster isn’t alone. There are several worthy competitors that vie for gamers’ attention. Let’s put the Thrustmaster T-LCM Pedals in a head-to-head showdown with some of the notable alternatives in the market: the Logitech G923 TrueForce and the Fanatec CSL Elite Pedals.
