Even if you have tried many similar friendship books for kids, this story about little Melissa will surely be an excellent addition to a toolkit! And there is only one hat… This is the final instalment to the celebrated hat trilogy and covers the importance of sharing. Seventh grade isn’t off to a great start for Dany – she’s starting middle school, none of her friends are in her classes, and she has to listen to her family argue about what to do with Great-Aunt Elma’s belongings. When Madison discovers herself “not real,” a creation of Dany’s, she becomes upset and breaks with Dany, going on a journey of self-discovery that happens mostly off-page that includes finding herself homeless, living in a Wolmort, and then being taken into state custody, and placed with a foster family. Additionally this book reveals that Dany wiped the minds of the students, including her friends, and faculty who saw the fight in Making Friends, fearing the consequences of others knowing that she has a magical sketchbook and powers from the objects that she has made with it.

But since it’s the only book I’ve found for middle-aged and it has some great insights, I’d recommend it for someone who wants to make friends learn and how to relate to your friends.
