Unfortunately, her friends are in a different school cluster and she's forced to start this new school by herself without any friends. Even if you have tried many similar friendship books for kids, this story about little Melissa will surely be an excellent addition to a toolkit! And there is only one hat… This is the final instalment to the celebrated hat trilogy and covers the importance of sharing. Struggling with friendships at school, Dany draws herself a double, and sends this “cooler” clone in her place to school, while hiding herself in a Pikkiball. She is at a brand new school and all of her friends are in separate classes and a different lunch hour.

But now that she's in seventh grade, she's in a new middle school, her friends are in different classes and forming new cliques, and she is completely lost. In the beginning of the story, readers see Danny acquire a sketchbook after a family member passes away.He started off greeting Nick, then, after Dany's disappointment that they know each other, he just pushes Nick down. Seventh grade isn’t off to a great start for Dany – she’s starting middle school, none of her friends are in her classes, and she has to listen to her family argue about what to do with Great-Aunt Elma’s belongings. When Madison discovers herself “not real,” a creation of Dany’s, she becomes upset and breaks with Dany, going on a journey of self-discovery that happens mostly off-page that includes finding herself homeless, living in a Wolmort, and then being taken into state custody, and placed with a foster family. Additionally this book reveals that Dany wiped the minds of the students, including her friends, and faculty who saw the fight in Making Friends, fearing the consequences of others knowing that she has a magical sketchbook and powers from the objects that she has made with it.

But since it’s the only book I’ve found for middle-aged and it has some great insights, I’d recommend it for someone who wants to make friends learn and how to relate to your friends. Realizing the sketchbook’s power, Dany, feeling very lonely in middle school, where her elementary friends’ schedules differs from her own, draws herself a best friend, Madison, a popular transfer student from New York City. With fun and lively illustrations, this funny book prompts children to discuss the idea of friendship with parents and peers. But as entertaining as this side plot is, Making Friends is not about anime; it’s about friendship, of course. Abigail tells her story from being an autistic child who found the 'normal' world a difficult place to fit into.
