My baby loves all the coloured pictures and the rhythm and rhyme here. He gets excited in anticipation of what's to come and it's a lovely opportunity to use different voices. I highly recommend this book to all--its cute, funny, rhymey (which I get that some people aren't into...why I don't know....) Our harvest donations have been collected by Hospitality & Hope. Rhyming helps children play with words and language and helps them be develop skills necessary to decode and read words. This skill is very important and should be nurtured whenever possible. The following link will take you to a post all about rhyming. It has games and activities for you to enjoy with your little. As a movement activity, have children imagine they’re traveling through different things (mud, snow, water, air, ice, etc.). You can make different noises and movements for each.
