However, Gordon is a supporting character in both episodes.During the scene where the Fat Controller is talking on the phone, the phone chatter heard on the other end is actually sped-up dialogue from Thomas in Trouble. In the Japanese dub, the narrator says that Sodor is a part of the United Kingdom. This is contrary to later in the show, where in The Great Race, it is revealed that Sodor is its own country. A possible explanation could be that it became an independent country between times. On the Endeavour release when the credits for Thomas Comes to Breakfast come to an end, a frame of the intro for Daisy appears for a few seconds before the actual intro starts. This also happens on the Roadshow re-release most likely due to the reusing of the master tapes. The front cover of the 1991 Australian and 1992 New Zealand releases feature an image from Saved from Scrap.
