Description

The DVD was originally released exclusively as part of the Best of Collection DVD boxset in October 2003. It later was given an individual release in February 2004.

Open up this box of fun and games and catch up with all your favourite ABC for Kids playmates. With things to make and cakes to bake, this video has over an hour and a half of great entertainment! On 9 October 1984 before the Children’s ITV debut at 4.00pm, this episode aired with Thomas and Gordon at 12.00 midday before the Lunchtime News.

In the closeup of Gordon when he says "Well, little Thomas, now you know what hard work means, don't you?" Wellsworth station is missing and there is also a gap between his eyes. Gordon and the Gremlin comes before A Better View for Gordon, meaning that audiences may not know about Gordon's view at Kirk Ronan. Wrong Road - Edward suggests Gordon runs on a branch line for a change. Proud Gordon the main line engine refuses until one day he travels on a branch line by mistake. Daisy - Thomas is in trouble. The Fat Controller sends for Daisy, a diesel railcar to help run his Railway. Daisy is spoilt and hard to please - as everyone soon discovers. This marks the last time Percy speaks in the series premiere until the eighth series premiere episode, although he does not speak until near the end of the episode. With a running time of two hours, this great value collection will entertain and educate all who see it for years to come....

It's a peep peep and a chuff chuff for all the Thomas the Tank Engine fans out there with 6 more adventures with Thomas and his friends plus 3 special holiday songs for you to learn! Percy passes through Wellsworth long before the narrator says he does. This is because, in the original book, the near-collision happened at Knapford rather than Wellsworth. Despite his appearance in the episode, Henry does not appear in the nameboard sequence at the end of the episode in the Japanese dub. Music cues from this episode were used in some audiobooks of Thomas & Friends, which were only released in Germany. Whistles and Sneezes and Tender Engines actually have Henry as the main character. However, Gordon is a supporting character in both episodes.During the scene where the Fat Controller is talking on the phone, the phone chatter heard on the other end is actually sped-up dialogue from Thomas in Trouble. In the Japanese dub, the narrator says that Sodor is a part of the United Kingdom. This is contrary to later in the show, where in The Great Race, it is revealed that Sodor is its own country. A possible explanation could be that it became an independent country between times. On the Endeavour release when the credits for Thomas Comes to Breakfast come to an end, a frame of the intro for Daisy appears for a few seconds before the actual intro starts. This also happens on the Roadshow re-release most likely due to the reusing of the master tapes. The front cover of the 1991 Australian and 1992 New Zealand releases feature an image from Saved from Scrap.
