Description

This would be best suited to a larger caravan or if you are intending on taking a long trip in your caravan and will need to dry a lot of clothes regularly. Thanks to the wider rungs, the airflow is increased and there are flip out corners that give you 12 extra spaces to use hangers with for drying additional clothes. Different clothes airers will vary in price, and many different factors will determine this. The main factor will be whether it’s heated or non-heated with heated being considerably more expensive. The size of your airer will matter, with larger airers costing more.

I prefer the stainless steel hanger, as it won’t rust when left in the rain or in coastal locations, plus you won’t have to worry about plastic going brittle and breaking. If you’ve already got a BBQARM, then all you need is the connector to turn it into a clothesline arm, which makes it a lightweight clothesline choice. The connector itself only weighs 40 grams. The rolled up rope and springs took up bugger all space to store in my outdoor cupboard and were particularly handy when our awning broke, so I didn’t have access to my Permanent Awning Clothesline. Another alternative is using a towel rail however space will be more limited especially if you’re using a portable washing machine to clean a large volume of clothes. Material Our final item is also the third item we are discussing from JVL. If you do not want to hang anything over your caravan doors, or simply need supplementary drying space, this double winged airer might be ideal for your laundry needs.

In addition, you can move the clothesline from the caravan draw bar to the rear bar and even to the tow bar on the car, depending on where the sun is. Last on our list is the Multi-Fix washing line made by solotrekk. Like the others we have featured, it comes with both hooks at suction cup attachments that can be used at either end to secure it to a wide variety of surfaces. Also, similarly, it has a clever pegless design, so you don’t need to worry about losing pegs, you just slip it in between the twines of the line to secure them in place so they dry and have no chance of falling. It stretches to 2.5-metres long, which is more than enough and even comes with a handy protective bag to keep it in when it’s not in use. However, if you don’t plan on using the BBQARM for any other purpose (BBQ, food prep table etc.), then this would be a heavy clothesline set-up to have. I initially started out with one of these and ended up getting rid of it. I didn’t like how you needed to peg the feet down so it didn’t blow over in the wind, plus it was a bit fiddly to put together each time I wanted to use it. Perhaps you would rather not have a clothes airer taking up space in your tourer or awning setup. A great space-saving solution that you can invest in is a caravan washing line. These help to give you floor space while providing a place to allow your wet clothing and garments to dry. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve washed them or simply got them wet while you you’ve been out and about. The springs made connecting the rope to anything really easy, as you could just loop the rope around a tree or pole, then clip the spring on. In a caravan where space is limited, you’ll always need to understand the size and weight of every item that you bring on board. You need to understand the size of your airer is important in both folded and unfolded state. When it’s folded, you’ll want it to be small in size so you can easily hide it from view whereas if you plan to dry indoors, you need to ensure that you’ve got enough room for it to be used. Airer Capacity

Our collections by our couriers are happening as usual. As it stands, delivery times are not being affected too much. Please be aware though that Royal Mail and other couriers are sometimes prioritising essential items so please bear with us if your delivery takes slightly longer than expected. The only thing you need to worry about with the Retractable Clothesline is finding two places to hang your clothesline between. You could go from the awning to the car or a tree, depending on your set up. With some, you’ll have enough to dry a whole load of washing whereas others will only allow you to dry a few bits of clothing at a time. The size of your caravan airer will largely define the capacity. Before you go out and buy a large capacity airer, you need to ensure that if you plan on drying indoors, that you have the space to use it. Once your clothes are dried, you’ll need caravan hangers to store them away. Warranty Using heated clothes airer will give you greater flexibility because it means that you could wash clothes late at night, hang them up and wake up in the morning to completely dry clothes. This saves you a lot of hassle and time that you can spend doing more fun things because you’re on holiday after all.
