Description

The orange and green squares behind him represent his experience of the passing of time, every day the same…same old, same old….

If the Fool or The Wheel of the Year appears in a Tarot spread with Karma Witches Tarot, the path you choose will be filled with positive things for a long time. The image shows a clown with green hair wearing the traditional hat shaped like the infinity sign, coloured with the primaries red, yellow and blue.

Understanding either of them requires the knowledge that unseen forces and ideas both within us and without us create, to a large extent, our experience of reality. The Eight of Cups is about accepting reality is what it is, and not denying or ignoring that, and then dealing with it. One of the first 5 decks I’d bought, back in 1989 at the tender age of 21, this tarot seriously blew me away. For this card we are told: “When the Madonna wakes us, she imparts a feeling of herself to our minds, and we are thrown back to a capricious choice – dualism unveiled by the ying-yang snakes. But as with most things, the more you look, the more you realise there is to find and, fortunately there‘s enough that’s appealing about this deck to make you want to delve deeper.

Ever feel as if you don't know which path to take, which decision to make, or what you really want in life? This beautiful 44-card oracle deck has been created to help you light up the world with your presence. The non-reversible backs display the words “Karma Music Tarot Cards” and feature a painted face with a strange contraption emerging from one ear, a reference to Erfurt’s other interest creating experimental music. This set contains 78 fully illustrated tarot cards and an accompanying 128 page book written by the wonderful Kerry Ward aka Tarot Bella.Inside the box, wrapped in cellophane, lives one of the deepest, sensual, elegant and thought-provoking decks there is.

It might seem friendly enough, but ask it a question and it is more likely to dazzle you with a display of acrobatics than give you a straight answer. This wind-blown place, where I was born, has been the setting of stories from Nordic mythology to modern fiction……her wavy hair floats freely, denoting unconventional philosophies and powerful intellect. Quality of my relationship with this deck: Eight of Wands – “opportunities multiply as they are seized” – movement, a stepping stone, but also a reminder to look at things through “beginner’s eyes” and strip things back occasionally. It was taken over by the youth movement in 1970 and turned into a rustic “free city” where bartering and cooperation were the standard - sort of an urban commune for artists. Farber and Zerner went on to create books, book/card sets, and unique kits that also made other esoteric systems accessible, such as the tarot, alchemy, The Goddess, talking boards, meditation, shamanism, psychic development, and relationships. The 9 of Coins is fairly consistent with the Waite-Smith image, as Birgit explains: ‘A sinister, yet fertile landscape is the backdrop for a woman in full, established maturity.

It may particularly suit ‘visual’ readers who may be able to look at an image and intuitively get a feel for the mood and what’s going on. Upright keywords: Make a positive change for your future application, renewal, deeper spiritual and magical consciousness, karma and fate, reflection of past events, the consequences of your past actions.Birgit: ‘A man is leaving a woman to enter the town in the background…the man has defeated materialism and chosen a spiritual path. Red and blue sides of the cards each have three bits of text, labeled S (Spiritual), M (Mental) and P (Physical). Try to sense heat, and wherever you feel a warmness or even a ‘pull’, zoom in and turn that card over. Breathe deeply and think of three people, organisations or causes in your world that you wish to support or do good for. He studied comparative religion and became interested in astrology in 1974 when he met his future wife and artistic collaborator, Amy Zerner.
