If you've ever used a skincare, makeup or beauty product that's made your skin look and feel smoother tempoarily - it's likely contained Silicone. They are a popular class of ingredients found in cosmetics due to their smooth, soft, easy-to-spread and smooth properties that help creates an artificial layer/barrier on top of skin or hair (commonly found in conditioners).

Centella Asiatica extract and dipotassium glycyrrhizate are also included as anti-inflammatory ingredients to help calm the skin. Looking for a cleanser that won’t strip your face of its natural moisture? Introducing the Etude House Soon Jung, pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser, a gentle, whipped cream-textured cleanser that contains weakly acidic bubbles to help moisturize your skin as you cleanse.

Other reviewers have had a better time with this cleanser so please don't be put off from trying it, but if you find it far too drying you're not alone! This foam cleanser is enriched with said rice water to deep clean your face whilst moisturizing it. Rice water contains an abundance of vitamins A, B, and E, which nourishes dry skin, leaving it soft and supple. Ingredients list: WATER / AQUA / EAU, SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE, GLYCERIN, COCO -BETAINE, POTASSIUM BENZOATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, CITRIC ACID, TROMETHAMINE, DISODIUM EDTA, PANTHENOL, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, MADECASSOSIDE I really wanted to like this as I love the soon jung line and the ingredients are all very gentle and soothing, however, in my experience this gives you that over cleansed 'squeaky skin' sensation and is a little too harsh despite my having oily skin and it still being summer.

Foam cleansers are known to be the go-to option for people with oily skin, however, Korean foam cleansers are suitable for most skin types. With the inclusion of ingredients such as egg extract, aloe vera, green tea, and even snail mucin, even those with super sensitive skin can find an option suitable for them. Similar to the Yadah cleanser we have another whipped cleanser which is the Etude House Soon Jung Cleanser. Like the title suggests this cleanser comes at a very optimal pH level of 6.5 which is very close to the skin’s natural pH level, leaving no room for irritation. Unlike Yadah, this cleanser contains Madecassoside and Panthenol very high up in the ingredient list. Madecassoside is a molecule derived from Centella Asiatica which promotes wound healing, alleviates inflammation and has anti-oxidant properties. Panthenol on the other side is used in skincare as a humectant, which means it has the ability to attract and hold moisture.

WATER / AQUA / EAU, SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE, GLYCERIN, COCO -BETAINE, POTASSIUM BENZOATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, CITRIC ACID, TROMETHAMINE, DISODIUM EDTA, PANTHENOL, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, MADECASSOSIDE Panthenol is evident in this cleanser, an ingredient that acts as a protective layer on your skin to seal in moisture and keep your skin hydrated for longer. If you haven’t given the Soon Jung line a try in a long time, or are totally new to the product lineup, I highly suggest you give them a try! Those with sensitive/normal-dry skin will really appreciate the gentle formulations and layerable textures. For us combination/oil skin types, the Hydro Barrier Cream alongside the cleanser and toner might be your best bet.

Containing fresh fruit and plant extracts as well as a plethora of amino acids and vitamins B3 and B2, this cleanser works hard to cleanse your skin but works harder to treat your pores. However, whip cleaners can also be more challenging to use than foam cleaners, as they require you to maintain a steady hand and apply even pressure. If you’re not careful, you may get cleaner on your clothes or your eyes. Additionally, whip cleaners can be more drying to the skin than foam cleaners. I have oily skin, so I didn't find the 6.5 whip cleanser drying, but this new cleanser definitely left my face feeling more moist and smooth than the other one. It also doesn't contain any essential oils, random plant extracts, or fragrance, so it felt very clean and didn't cause irritation. There is a slight milky scent to it but it's probably from the ingredients themselves rather than from something added in. Water, glycerin, sorbitol, propanediol, lauryl glucoside, disodium cocoyl glutamate, panthenol, Madecassoside, Camellia Sinensis leaf extract, butylene glycol, citric acid, glyceryl caprylate, ethylhexylglycerin. Pityrosporum Folliculitis/Malassezia folliculitis or simply known as Fungal Acne is a persistent acne-like condition that commonly responds poorly to traditional acne-treating methods. Unlike most cases of Acne where bacteria is the culprit, Fungi is the culprit of Fungal Acne (Hence the name!). There are certain classes & groups of ingredients that have been shown to promote and feed the growth of the Fungal Acne, Fungi such as fatty acids, oils, esters, polysorbates and fermented ingredients.I'm surprised someone hasn't done a review on this new product yet given how popular the Soonjung line is, so I thought I might as well give it a shot.
