Elk verhaal gaat over de vriendschap tussen een ietwat bijzonder personage en iemand de tijd neemt om hem beter te leren kennen. De andere kant van de personages die hierdoor zichtbaar wordt, is vaak verrassend, en toont aan dat we niet zomaar mensen moeten afschrijven zonder ze een echte kans te geven.
