This layering becomes a little less distinct in His Dark Materials. The TV pulls every sound effect to the front of the mix causing the audio to sound a little messier – although, thankfully, not to the point of distraction. Hisense has announced its latest TV offering for 2022, and this guide breaks down the updates to its Mini-LED, OLED and Laser series.

Found the actual rail is very cheap plastic collapsing when you put plates on them and the actual door seal on one side comes away every time. I pull out the tray to put the plates on very hard to read the instructions as they’re so small overall very disappointed doesn’t dry very well either. This cookie is set by the Bazaarvoice. Does anyone know of a specific setting I need to get this working properly or is there a guide anywhere for configuring Freesat on these TVs?

The Hisense A6G is a superior budget 4K TV that could easily pass for something more premium. Key attractions include Dolby Vision HDR and strong streaming service options, but there are limitations if you’re a serious gamer. However, the smart platform employed on these models is Google’s Android TV, with Chromecast built-in, and not Hisense’s Vidaa creation. In terms of hierarchy, the A6G is one down from the A7G, which is the first of the Hisense Quantum Dot models. We uploaded the brightness measurements and uniformity photos after running the TV for four months in our Accelerated Longevity Test. For audio there’s DTS:Virtual:X for adding a bit more size through virtual processing, while for sports and gaming you’re covered by dedicated modes. and features dedicated sport and game modes. For HDR it appears to be just HLG, so you can HDR content on iPlayer. Build quality is perfectly acceptable, and while there’s nothing luxurious about the feel of the plastics from which the Hisense is mostly made, there are no creaks or groans from the frame either. Keep the price uppermost in your mind and there’s little to be disappointed about here. Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying small white square taking up 10% of the screen (measured in Nits) The choice of image presets is key to the performance of the A6G, though. Cinema mode can look a little flat, but Standard and Dynamic give the panel permission to shine. The A6G’s stereo audio system is best described as routine. With a power output of 2 x 8W, a soundbar would be a sensible upgrade. Until then, run the TV on Theater sound mode as this gives a wider sonic spread. Price

The Hisense 50A7100FTUK features the VIDAA U interface, but this differs from the full-screen VIDAA U4 version on the 75-inch model. Despite being restricted to the display’s lower half, icons are large and grow bigger when you hover over them, making the TV very easy to navigate. Smart features are improved over the 2020 models as it’s compatible with both Alexa and Google Assistant. Advanced gaming features also feature on this model with ALLM and VRR on the spec sheet. I measured input lag at 48.2ms (1080p/60fps) with Game mode selected. This rules it out for competitive fragging, but is fine for more moderately paced console entertainment. Picture & Sound Quality As an upscaler, the Hisense is reasonably adept with 1080p content and all at sea with anything less information-rich. Taking a Full HD image and making it fit the screen doesn’t impact too badly on detail levels or colour fidelity, and motion remains admirably smooth and stable too. But edges can get a bit restless, and the depth of field that is at such a premium with 4K stuff disappears altogether. But taking some DVD-borne information, say, or (worst-case scenario) some daytime TV broadcasts gives the A6G what used to be called ‘the vapours’. Detail levels fall off a cliff, to be replaced by ambiguity and noisiness. Few are the televisions capable of making pictures look simultaneously soft and edgy, but the Hisense 55A6G is one of them. Audio performancePercentage Luminance drop at 35 degree horizontal angle from the centre of the screen with 50% white output Really good oven, the only downside is the self cleaning program, what is absolutely not doing anything. Maybe it's ok, if someone is not using the oven every day, but we do.
