Description

The RLX6 is still going strong and is still my bedchair of choice. The roped mid section has started to come loose slightly after months of sitting in the middle of the bed during my sessions where I didn’t take a chair. This is quite common with most bedchairs after years of use. As this Advanta Endurance Reclining Bedchair Buddy is so lightweight, it also makes the perfect guest chair. This is ideal if you’re joined at the bank by another angler, or a friend or family member. After all, it can sometimes be uncomfortable to maintain a conversation over a brew if one of you is stood and the other is sat. This bedchair buddy gives you an easy way of providing a seat to your bankside guest. It also works perfectly as an alternative to a low chair. This is ideal if you’re somebody who enjoys ultra-mobile angling, as this is an exceptionally lightweight solution to the problem of comfortable bankside seating. A big part of the stability of your bedchair will come from the leg mechanism. The Trakker RLX Compact Bedchair has 6 adjustable legs which can go from 28cm to 38cm. Whilst I find that fine for most of the swims I come across, it may still leave you uneven on steep river banks. That being said, I don’t think there’s any solution to that really.

It’s a decent fit in my Trakker Tempest 100T Carp Bivvy too, providing plenty of foot space at the front and storage at the rear. This was another key consideration for me. Easy to transport, although not the most compact You even have the option of adjusting the roped midsection to suit how firm you would like the bed. The reason for this is to maintain the flat profile as much as possible and limit sagging within the middle of the bed (also meaning that less central padding is required). To be honest, I was quite surprised at how comfortable the bedchair is without the elasticated midsection. We will make every reasonable effort to deliver your products safely and in accordance with any specific delivery instructions that you give us however we will not be liable for any delay, damage or loss as a result of complying with such specific instructions. As we have previously mentioned, the Trakker RLX Bedchair is constructed from a combination of steel and aluminium. I’m not sure exactly where each of these materials is on the frame, but I’m guessing the steel is focused around the areas taking most of the load.

Trakker has not done this with the Trakker RLX 6 Bedchair, and I was pleased to see that. The bedchair itself is actually 4kg lighter and much longer and wider than my old Total Fishing Gear Bedchair. I got a Trakker RLX Nano chair as I thought they would be good with being able to use it as a "bedchair buddy" or as a low or guest chair, but, despite bringing it fishing it stays in the car usually. The main problem is, the front legs are only about 12", extend by a max of 3" to make about 15" length and the legs angle forward so that reduces the height to 12". If your bedchair is higher than 12" off the ground which mine usually is due to sloping ground, then your screwed, the chair slopes forward and is uncomfortable and useless. I've just got it out of the car now to get the measurements, it's unusable, my bed chair is 16" high off the ground thanks to the slope. If you’re regularly on the move or like to keep the weight of your gear to a minimum, this should definitely be a consideration for your next carp bedchair.

On the other hand, I want a bit of comfort too but not too much that I feel I’m taking a king sized padded bed with me! For me, the Trakker RLX Flat 6 Superlite Bedchair finds the perfect balance between weight and comfort, and that’s the reason it will be my bedchair of choice for the foreseeable future. Don’t let this put you off though. The roped midsection makes up for this and to be honest, any additional padding would only add unnecessary weight. Firstly, Trakker has reduced the padding in the central section of the bed chair, which makes up a fair proportion of the weight of most modern bedchairs. To counteract the loss of comfort here, Trakker has included a roped midsection instead of elastic. The size of your bedchair is also vital to a good night’s sleep. Now when it comes to designing a lightweight bedchair, it can be easy for a manufacturer to simply make the whole thing smaller. Why they made 12" legs and then only made 3" extensions, I don't know why. I doubt you could make your own extensions as they have a Groove in so they must have to fit a stud inside the frame. It was probably designed in a factory environment on a perfectly flat floor on a bedchair without its legs extended. I guess it's also (one of?) the only chairs that can be used on a bed chair and as a standard chair so with no competition they can chose their price! The second issue, as a low chair, they can be comfortable or uncomfortable depending on how much the ground slopes. And if you use it as a fishing chair etc, then getting out of it in a rush is not easy without rolling out of it and then standing up unless your a gymnast.

Whilst it is not as comfortable as it’s bigger brothers, Trakker have done everything in their power to reduce the weight without compromising on comfort.Any incorrect or damaged goods must be reported within 5 days of receipt. These will be replaced as soon as possible at no expense to yourself. All unwanted items must be either returned at your own expense or taken into your local Angling Direct store. There are a few chairs out there where the rear legs fold flat. If you take the bungs out of the side bars and carry a couple of steel rods that will extend the side bars just enough to sit across the frame of the bedchair then bobs your uncle. Couple of quid fix to the chair of your choice. Norwich, Norfolk, NR13 6LH, United Kingdom. Company registered in England and Wales No 05151321. VAT No GB 152140945 As we’ve already mentioned, it’s a decent length and width too so there has been no compromise there. If you have a small car boot or a tight fit in the shed, you might take a look at the Nash Scope Ops 4 Fold Sleep System as an alternative. Firstly it can be used across the middle of a bedchair as a traditional bedchair buddy. This is perfect for when you want to sit up and read a book/magazine or socialise with friends in the bivvy when the weather is bad outside. The unique reinforced rear leg structure simple extends across the bedchair and overhangs the end of it giving you a very firm, and comfortable chair on the bedchair. This will fit practically all bedchairs on the market.

Two versions are available - Standard to fit Standard and Wide Boy beds, and the Wide Boy Bed Buddy which fits both Wide Boy and Emperor beds. Both Bed Buddies fold up to slip neatly inside a bedchair. In terms of its strength, Trakker claims that the RLX Flat 6 has enough stability for even the largest of anglers. As I said, I’m 13 stone so of average build really. recommend that you use recorded or special delivery as we can not be liable for any loss or damage in transit. Overall to summarise the size, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how large it is considering the light transport weight. Strength & StabilityBuilt with durability in mind, the Bedchair Buddy's cover is securely riveted to the frame, preventing slipping and providing added strength. This robust design ensures that your Nash Fishing Bedchair Buddy remains a reliable and comfortable seating option for many angling adventures to come.
