The app contains all necessary info, including all temperatures, high and low settings, set alarms, and historical data and graphs of cooks. And my verdict is: I love it! It’s accurate, with a highly intuitive, easy-to-use, and intelligent app that will help you cook meat to perfection every time with its multitude of settings and alarms. One issue with this is there is no unique identification for each probe, so you’ll have to use silicon sleeves, nail polish or some other means to identify each probe. I feel the Tenergy Solis model includes more for your money than the others. It has six probes, it’s from a dependable company with a good warranty and offers free lifetime replacement probes.

The ThermoWorks Signals can measure from 58 °F – 572 °F (-50 °C – 300 °C). The accuracy changes depending on what temperatures are being measured. ThermoWorks advertise the accuracy as: Smartphone app is a bit cluttered with links to Thermoworks store, help center, support, blog, and featured recipes. They tell you when your grill or smoker temperature drops or falls below your target, and when your meat needs attention due to internal temperature, not by time, so you’ll never under or overcook your food again. Here are the best meat thermometers to buy now, starting with our favourite… 1. Thermapen Professional SuperFast Food Thermometer

The Best Bluetooth Meat Thermometers

Many meat thermometers are actually designed to be left in the oven or grill and are resistant to fairly high temperatures. The best way to know is to read the specs and instructions of your chosen thermometer, ensuring that its materials are heat-resistant and can withstand long stints in the oven, smoker, or barbecue grill. How to choose the best meat thermometer for you What do I need to consider when buying a meat thermometer? Nobody truly needs a smart meat thermometer—but if you’re a serious foodie, or nervous in the kitchen, they can be invaluable. That’s doubly true if you’re attempting ambitious foods on a grill or in a smoker. In addition to telling you the temperature inside your food, serious barbecue cooks will appreciate the ability to monitor ambient temperature inside a grill at the same time, which can clue them in as to when a fire has grown too hot, or started to go out. The red analog display is easily visible at night. This is where the Inkbird is superior to other thermometers that you need to press a button to illuminate the screen.

You can preset minimum and maximum temperatures for each probe or use the handy presets. You’ll get an alerted if the temperature goes outside that range. Functionality and Features The dual-sensor probe will also tell you what the temperature is around the surface of your meat, which is handy. The probes are curved with no silicone handles which make them easier to extract from food than some other meat thermometers. They are double-crimped where the handles attach to the cables.

This model isn’t water-resistant. However, there is an IPx5 waterproof version, the IBT-4XC, which is a bit more expensive, but something to think about if it rains a lot where you live. Possibly the most rugged, commercial, professionally built thermometer on the market, with IP66 waterproofing, and commercial quality probes. ThermoPro 500ft Long Range Bluetooth Meat Thermometer for Grilling and Smoking with Dual Probe Smart Wireless BBQ Smoker Grill Thermometer, Rechargeable The main appeal of this thermometer for most owners seems to be a mic of the price, reliability, and longevity. People have owned this thermometer for years, use it regularly, and it keeps going on strong. I have had mine since mid-2021, it still works perfectly, but I have only used it a handful of times. The green light will flash while your food cooks then change to yellow then red the closer to doneness.

The ThermoWorks signals is a professional-grade thermometer that is as accurate and reliable as you will ever find. It is equally good for amateur pitmasters and the experts among you. Some people (our review friend and others) have complained about the Bluetooth range not being the purported 495 feet that ThermoPro claims. I’ve been able to get a signal through multiple walls up to about 80 feet. This should be far enough for most cooking scenarios. Mobile App The TP-25 features newer Bluetooth 5.0 technology. It has a reported line-of-sight range of 495 feet. This doesn’t account for obstacles like walls, trees, your neighbor’s horse, and his house too. What’s more, the single probe has two thermometers, one at each end of the Meater, one for monitoring the internal temperature of your meat, and the other end to measure and report the temp of your grill. The attached wire stand can also be flipped over to hang the thermometer. Highlights of the ThermoPro TP-25 Boiling water should read close to 212 °F at sea level. As you can see in the below image, the Fireboard showed 211.8 °F and 212.3 °F for two connected probes. The TP-25 is thoughtfully designed with color-coordinated probes that match up with specific ports on the thermometer body.

Would I leave it out in the rain overnight? Probably not, but it’s good to know it can get a little wet. This meat thermometer is much more than just color-coordination, the wireless range and the mobile app really set it apart from the rest.Again, the mobile app is the same one you’ll get with many Bluetooth thermometers, although you have six different channels on this one. What I Don’t Like The ThermoPro TP-25H2 Bluetooth thermometer on the left and the ThermoPro TP25 Bluetooth thermometer on the right. The downside of Bluetooth is it tends to be “line of sight.” That means walls, trees, and even other devices can interfere with the signal. For the average pitmaster, this means no threading probes and wires through eyelets and holes, not having to use two probes, no frayed, bent, and eventually broken wires. It’s good!
