Description

Despite her popularity, Yotsuba keeps her personal life private. She rarely shares details about her family or romantic relationships with the public. This has only added to her mystique and allure, making her even more fascinating to her fans. She appears in the ending of the spin-off anime series Nyanbo!, based on the Danbo character that appears in multiple chapters of the Yotsuba&! manga. She is passionate about animal rights and has been involved in various campaigns to raise awareness about animal welfare issues. Reviewers often describe Azuma's depiction of her as realistic, especially compared to depictions of children in other manga and anime. One review claimed that "Yotsuba in particular is amusing, because she acts and speaks with that peculiar mix of honesty, immediacy, and childish logic that only young children seem to possess ... Yotsuba isn't a silent, simpering sweetie-pie, she acts like a real five-year-old." [1] On the other hand, Tom Spurgeon claimed Yotsuba is "an idealized kid of that early age, retaining a wide-eye wonder and furious energy, minus the things that crop up at that age like cruelty and deception" [3] and a reviewer in Newtype USA said that "Her hijinks are sweetly innocent, like a cuter, more naïve version of Dennis the Menace minus the 'menace'." [19] In other media [ edit ] Yotsuba Kominato is a well-known Japanese idol, singer, and dancer who rose to fame as part of the girl group, Niji no Conquistador. She was born on December 3, 1999, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, and was raised in a musical family.

Yotsuba Kominato, the famous fashion model and actress, has captivated the hearts of fans with her stunning looks and charming personality. Her body measurements are a topic of interest among her fans. Parental Abandonment: As Jumbo puts it, "Yotsuba was an abandoned child"; all Koiwai has said is that while he was traveling overseas for his work, he found himself taking care of her. Yotsuba herself remembers only living with her adoptive grandmother and, before that, on an island that's "to the left". The Ayases have no idea what she means, either. When she takes the Ayase sisters to visit her home, to give Fuuka some coffee after Yotsuba failed doing so twice, her father discovers she lied to him. Just look at her face.Informed Ability: Asagi is supposedly very popular with the guys, but she's never seen with a boyfriend. Then again, outside her family, she is mostly only seen with Torako. Cat Smile: Two from Fuuka, one from Ena, and one from Yotsuba, for various reasons. For example, Fuuka does it once when she finds out Jumbo uses a beard trimmer while trying to hold in her laughter as Yotsuba had just trimmed some of Jumbo's beard off right in the middle. Yotsuba&! ( Yotsuba to! in Japanese) is an ongoing Slice of Life comedy manga by Kiyohiko Azuma, creator of Azumanga Daioh, first starting serialization in 2003, just under a year after Azumanga Daioh finished its run. In my opinion, reading Yotsuba&! is more about growing confidence and learning you can read and enjoy native Japanese material. The style essentially starts where Azumanga Daioh left off and evolves from there. Yotsuba's appearance in particular develops between Chapter 1 and, for example, Chapter 27, so that she looks more like a 5-year-old, with shorter, more rounded ponytails. By around Chapter 53, the shape of her eyes have changed still more, along with some of her casual expressions.

Aoki, Deb (17 September 2009). "Yen Press Explains Danbo vs. Cardbo and Other Yotsuba&! Manga Mysteries". About.com. Archived from the original on 3 April 2015 . Retrieved 20 September 2009. I think one of the best ways to improve your Japanese is to increase your exposure to media designed for native speakers. Many Japanese learners have books or manga they aspire to read, but it's important to first build up a strong foundation. One of the most popular recommendations for those who are new to reading Japanese native material is the slice-of-life series Yotsuba&!. A non-Yotsuba example is when she wants to go out with an umbrella when there was a typhoon. She really does. Her dad and the Ayase family (especially Asagi who runs after her) aren't amused. The series provides few details about her life before its start. She is an adopted child, with her birthplace unknown to the reader, although she claims she's from an island "to the left." [12] Koiwai, Yotsuba's adopted father, says he met her as an orphan in a foreign country and before he knew it he was raising her as his own; [6] she is sometimes taken for a foreigner by strangers. When asked about her mother, she doesn't understand the question, and she gets confused by the concept of having two sets of grandparents. [13] Before moving to her current home, Yotsuba lived in the country with Koiwai and his mother. [12] She initially claims she is six years old, but her father later corrects this, saying she is in fact five years old. [14] Blank White Eyes: Eventually happens to just about everyone around Yotsuba, and to Yotsuba herself, occasionally. Long-Runner Tech Marches On: The manga takes place over the course of one year, but since it's been running continuously since 2003, it makes use of a floating timeline to keep it up to date with modern society. As a result, the technology seen throughout the series progresses in step with that of the real world. For instance, Yotsuba visits an electronics store full of flip phones in September, and her father buys a smartphone two months later. The gang goes to the beach and Yotsuba finds several jellyfish beached at the shore. She asks Fuuka and her dad if they are plastic, but they tell her that they're not, because the jellyfish are alive. Yotsuba then asks what "alive" is. Neither Dad nor Fuuka have any satisfactory answer, and can only stutter until Yotsuba loses interest. Yotsuba also gets along well with the mother of the Ayase girls, Mrs. Ayase. Similar to Asagi, she hardly ever loses her temper when dealing with Yotsuba, and though Koiwai constantly worries that Yotsuba is bothering her family, Mrs. Ayase keeps saying that it is all right and "fun" because Yotsuba is so cute. Yotsuba calls her "Mommy", which Mrs. Ayase doesn't seem to find strange at all, though it confuses others.
