Love my Boss DR-01. It is designed for use with acoustic instruments in that the sounds available are very organic and not fake (cajon, congas, timbale, claves, tambourine, etc.), even the drum set bass drum sound is natural sounding. Small, easy to use, many pre-sets that you can add or subtract to and from. Also, "favorites" that you can create yourself and save. Options for 3/4, 4/4 and 6/8, easy to connect to an amp or PA. The best part may be the fade function (which you can program for length) which works with any of the pre-sets. I use a Boss pedal controller for that and it is great to be able to fade out the percussion at the end of a song rather than have an abrupt stop.

I own about a dozen Mini Mooers of various stripes - and each of them does a fantastic job, while to date I only have one of the X2 Series - or namely the X2 Model X Preamp - which rounds up a load of Mooer’s Micro Preamps into a single enclosure - and those presets / algorithms mostly sound very analog in style with no noticeable hard or brittle Digital artefacts - some require some finesses on the dial in - but nearly all those varieties can sound pretty spectacular. On paper, the Ditto+ serves both purposes in one unit, and as such that added versatility still serves a potent hook for those searching for an all-in-one option.
