Description

The Cookware Company certainly knows how to sell a pan, and the Blue Diamond line speaks directly to the convenience-oriented home chef across their marketing materials. The sets are toxin-free, eliminating any fears of toxins associated with Teflon. They are also free of lead, PFO, PFAs, and Cadmium. Washing it in the dishwasher:Blue Diamond pans are technically dishwasher safe. However, the high temperature of the water combined with the dish detergent can wear down the coating. If you want your pan to last as long as possible, handwashing is best. Blue Diamond offers diversity. Their pans come in two different colors to choose from. They also provide differently-sized saucepans, frying pans, and pots. The makers of the Blue Diamond pan claim it’s five times harder, lasts ten times longer, and transfers heat four times faster than the competition.

It has a dome-shaped lid, which provides more room for your meals. This also helps stimulate better airflow as you cook. It’s difficult to separate fact from fiction in TV commercials. Makers of many “As Seen on TV” products have been known to exaggerate claims. Don’t use steel scouring pads, steel wool, and harmful chemicals when cleaning. Just use warm soapy water and a sponge or soft cloth. Most of the pan material and weight comes from the solid aluminum base. Aluminum is slightly less responsive to changes in temperature when compared to copper, but it heats just as evenly. Induction Don’t apply oil sprays, like mist and aerosols, as they can lead to residue build-up, which can be tough to clean.

With Teflon-coated pans, you need to be extra careful. High heat will cause chemicals to activate and release harmful gasses. The commercial shows images of a flaky filet of white fish and eggs sliding right off the pan’s surface. Most owners reported that, with regular use, their frying pan lasted about a year. We also uncovered several cases where an owner’s pan needed replacement after only a few months. The oven-rating on this pan is fine, though we struggle to think of a situation where most kitchens would want to use it at such high temperatures. I guess it’s there if you need it. Dishwasher Safety

Some Blue Diamond pans are induction-ready, but others are not. The collections that work with induction stoves include Blue Diamond Induction, Triple Steel, Gold, and Clad Pro. The Blue Diamond Classic, Hard Anodized Pro, Green Diamond, Red Diamond, and Pink Diamond collections are not compatible with induction stoves. What is the Blue Diamond cookware warranty? During prolonged cooking, the glass lids and handles of Blue Diamond cookware might get hot. So, be extra careful when removing the lids and lifting the handles. While Blue Diamond markets its products as Metal utensils safe, we recommend that you do not use metal-based scrubbers when cleaning them. The longevity of the cookware sets will significantly be enhanced by using gentle and soft cleaning agents. Blue Diamond cookware is compatible with electric, halogen, gas, and ceramic stovetop but not with an induction cooktop (except for its newest collection, which we’ll discuss later).Using metal utensils:Although Blue Diamond claims its coating is metal utensil safe, you shouldn’t. Over time, they will scratch and degrade the coating. Instead, use wood, plastic, or rubber utensils. Besides frying pans, the brand has expanded, adding several pots, pans, and cookware sets. Here’s what Blue Diamond currently offers: Apart from the 14-piece, this cookware set is also available in 6-, 9-, 10-, and 20-piece. Now that’s a whole lot of options for your everyday cooking needs! It comes in 6-, 7-, 11-, and 15-piece sets. For this 6-piece cookware set, you get the following items:

Blue Diamond cookware is not ideal for induction cooktops. If you only use induction hobs for cooking, you shouldn’t buy them. It won’t work! Blue Diamond Cookware Warranty The ads show sunny side up eggs sliding smoothly from the pan to the plate, a hand mixer running full blast on the cooking surface without scratching it, and the happy cook cleaning the pan with one paper towel wipe. They manufacture cookware across all their brands in Europe and Asia, but the Blue Diamond pan is manufactured exclusively in China. Price Fortunately, this isn’t a concern with the Blue Diamond pan since it’s designed with a ceramic coating. Cooktop CompatibilityThe manufacturer of Thermolon ceramic confirmed with our team that diamonds are used in their coatings, though they wouldn’t disclose in what quantity or the specific supplier they use. To test, I poured two cups of cold water in both a Blue Diamond Pan and a Calphalon Contemporary fry pan. Besides the Blue Diamond pan and the other cookware items under the Blue Diamond brand, The Cookware Company also owns several other popular brands, including GreenPan ( see my review), Green Chef, and Green Life ( see my review).
