Russ is super sweet, reserved, and super shy, he's adorable, but he's no Nathan Hawkins (I felt more heartwrenching things with Nathy poo, Russ' character falls a bit short). Russ has financial hardships resulting from his father's gambling addiction. The pressure intensifies as his father repeatedly solicits money, subjecting Russ to verbal abuse when he declines. He grapples with frustration over his mother's constant excuses for his father's behavior. Adding to his concerns is his brother's insistence that he prioritize family time, even though his brother is the one touring with his band. There was one part where he wasn't sure he wanted to be with Aurora, because of how famous her family is, and 'being in the spotlight' is scary; he wants to live a 'lowkey' life. I didn't really like Aurora, she is boisterous and outgoing, and her constant 'daddy issues' talk got annoying to the point where it's her entire personality… It was almost too much. Rory bears the heavy burden of her mother's unending complaints and manipulative guilt trips that emerged after her parent's divorce. Simultaneously, her father has chosen to distance himself from her existence, adding to her struggles. He's so rude, and selfish and seems to not care about her; only his newfound family's appearance for his/their 'online persona'. She's also entangled in a strained relationship with her older sister, who lives abroad. She kind of redeems herself when she stands up to her dad, near the end.

Hannah did such an amazing job painting the picture of what adoption means and how it affects us throughout our lives individually and how it plays out in romantic relationships. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 was such a breath of fresh air. Therapy was never stigmatized, brushed off, or made into a punchline. Not only did Stassie continue with therapy even while in a relationship, Nate supported her in every way possible. Some rom coms with female grumps have the mmc’s become overbearing and pushy, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱. He gave her space, he quietly supported her, and loudly cheered her on, all when she needed it.In July 2016 Finland’s Former President, Tarja Halonen, Christened Tallink’s New Vessel Megastar At The Meyer Turku Oy Yard In Finland. President Halonen Was The First Female Head Of State In Finland And Served As President From 2000 To2012. For all the romance books I've read and all the happy endings I've enjoyed, I can't imagine my own. I'd like to hope I'll have one, but hope can be dangerous.”

The Megastar Is An Lng Powered Fast Ferry Capable Of Carrying 2,800 Passengers And Sails Between Helsinki And Tallinn. Use Of Lng Reduces Harmful Emissions And Eliminates Soot Particles Thereby Greatly Reducing The Negative Effects On The Environment Associated With Traditional Fuels. I’m just saying my men loves to praise and she loves to hearing it I MEAN he can call me his good girl anytime he wantsAs for the actual plotline - there was none. Yup. None — Basically all these characters meet for the first time when they are forced to start sharing an ice rink and that’s basically just a setup for them all to become friends… and then the rest of the story (from what I’ve read) is just watching them do everyday college shit like go to parties and bars and study and go to training and boring things like that. He actually had his own life in this book too. Sometimes dual povs just feel like one because they’re both living the same thing. But this book showed the distinction between their thought processes and how they’re actual individuals, not the same brain. There’s a warm, full feeling in my heart when I’m around this team. It’s unfamiliar but familiar at the same time; a contradiction, I know, but so specific that it feels like it was specifically designed for me. It’s the feeling I didn’t know I needed until these guys crashed their way into my life three months ago.”

Going into this book I was kinda nervous since it has one of my least favourite tropes (the ONS) but imo the author really showed their romantic progression and did justice to their relationship. Other than that, this was fine. She did throw in some serious issues like alcoholism, gambling, and bum ass fathers. There's NO third-act breakup (sorry not sorry for the spoiler) which is great. There even were some funny moments (the possum scene...) Also, I highly recommend reading with your eyeballs; I had the ALC from Libro.fm but the narrators sounded so childish and somehow cheapened the book lol. If you want to read this, go ahead, but don't feel inspired to just because of my review haha. This won't blow your mind. If you want a fluffy, comfort read and don't mind closed door vibes, I strongly recommend anything from Lindsey Kelk. one thing i did like? ryan!! they had a dynamic that i loved and they cared abt each other in a way that wasn’t overbearing. not to mention the way anastasia was supportive of his relationship with olivia! i have to admit it was a nice change and it was completely understandable. i found his character to be so sweet and i wish we got more of his and anastasia’s friendship. i also liked sasha & anastasia’s friendship despite the embarrassing things that happened when they first met. i am never getting over it. Aurora our FMC was such a strong, cute and pretty FMC I was in love with her like her character was very strong and how she took decisions at times where it felt like everything was over really made me love her more she encouraged Russ, helped him and most of all loved him alot while also dealing with her own problems. I really loved her for that. this was a highly anticipated read for me, but truthfully it fell a bit short of my expectations. i know a lot of ppl complain that icebreaker didn't have a plot, but i felt like stassi's ice skating competition was v driving for me and her perfectionism/fixation struggle was something i very much related to.

Hannah Grace, who resides in Manchester, England, writes predominantly in the new adult and contemporary romance genres, refers to her books as “fluffy comfort books.” Living in the Boston suburbs with her husband and two dogs, Pig and Bear, she often writes about people’s eyes repeatedly in a chapter, gives two characters the same name, and uses English sayings that are unfamiliar to Americans in her works. A few Words from Author It fell a little flat for me bc I couldn’t get as invested in this book. Maybe it was the slump idk. It was really enjoyable don’t get me wrong, I just couldn’t connect to the story the way I wanted. Their relationship may have begun with a passionate night, but I relished the gradual development of their connection. The slow burn progression, the strengthening of their friendship, and their shared vulnerability allowed them to shed their emotional barriers and learn to trust one another. What truly captivated me was the absence of unnecessary immaturity or exaggerated drama. Instead, the story presented two individuals navigating their complex circumstances with maturity, drawing strength from each other. Me in my room pretending like my heart isn't melting out my pussy at the sight of this disgustingly cute display.
