So, this series wasn’t on my radar until recently. And, I’ve been looking for a new horror series to sink my teeth into so I thought I’d give this one a try. This document is available under CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 KR. (except for some documents and illustrations where licenses are specified) I would recommend this series for readers who enjoy edgy, dark, horror-esque stories that incorporate some cool creature designs and some fun action sequences. If you can ignore hyper sexualized characters that shouldn’t be, this series may also resonate. While her design is certainly cool, she is depicted as a very young girl—which is problematic considering her character comes onto a middle-aged male character. It’s wholly unnecessary and wholly inappropriate on so many levels.

Now, Tokyo is experiencing a string of gruesome murders. All the victims are mutilated and, most damning, drained of blood. Not to mention the fact that this should have ended after the first arc. We're now going into a second arc where all character “motivations” are completed and it's just boring. It's much akin to ending a game in an mmo. They're just doing side quests when able to one tap everything.

After thinking about it further. I think this author is only good at making likeable characters and knows how to make good action sequences. Story is as simple as it gets, which isn't bad in itself. It's fine to start simple as long as you evolve somewhat. This manga just doesn't evolve. He goes crazy for 3 chapters where he doesnt kill anyone, but randomly he starts killing randoms until he just doesn't. Oct 25 Yearning Teens, Frustrated Romance, Pretty Skies — Is There Anything Else to Makoto Shinkai? Like; the only somewhat story we know of is that the main character's fiancee was killed by the main bad guy. Which just rubbed me the wrong way. In fifty whole chapters I feel like I only know these characters' personalities. While on the oriel for the two-faced vampire, Mikogami happens to catch attention of an unexpected girl. Silver-haired and childlike, she stands out.

To be honest, I’m a little underwhelmed by the momentum of the series but I do think the core plot is pretty engaging and the main characters are well-designed and come with threads of motivation that can be woven together into a coherent narrative. Further, Mikogami is more than ready to take on this vampire himself. He promised his fiancée’s parents that he’d get justice. When Mikogami finds himself in a bind, this girl—Momo—saves his life. In doing so, though, Mikogami finds his life…transformed. Oct 28 NBA Star Rui Hachimura Gets Animated and Possibly Saves the World in New Crayon Shin-chan Episode

We don't know why the main character was saved by the fmc. We don't know fully why the mc was targeted; it was something about how the bad guy basically grooms his targets' hatred and regret to grow stronger. But this was actually just shoved into a single panel and never talked about again. Stars rounding up for the sections I really liked. This manga wanders from scene to scene and even from serious to comedic, and none of that is done terribly well in transition, however, a ton of stuff happens and is revealed, so I'll go with Gripes and Likes for this review. This manga has an edgy chainsaw jigokuraku art vibe. The art style fits very well with the story and genre helping it contribute in a helpful way. I enjoyed the art. Lots of shading, textures, etc. Definitely one best art on young jump. This is the exact question Mikogami Keigo (Main Character) had to face. In exchange for his humanity he will gain the power to kill his lover's murder.Likes: after the awkward beginning, I *loved* the moment Mikogami got serious. Like, that aspect alone would've been so cool. Almost Hellsing like. I actually felt like Momo's entrance ruined a perfectly good story. Mikogami, Vampire Hunter, is a book I'd read in a heartbeat. Next - the vampires are interesting and leave behind particularly gruesome scenes. I love the character design for the vampire Mikogami is after and the serial killer nature of the "calling card." Then - Momo is a bit derivative as a character and the child body is...misused... But when she's not being used for comedic relief, she speaks like someone older and with experience, and she's got good fighting skills. She's the title character, and probably this book's biggest weakness, but she's got promise to make this very interesting as Mikogami's future develops. And finally - the story itself is fast paced with twists and graphic crime scenes with great art, and the character interaction at the end is intriguing. This series has everything from your sexy loli vampire to exhibitionist. Overall its very easy connect and relate to some characters, and each and every one of them seem to have a unique characteristic when compared to one another. However it is far from perfect, there are some flaws in the character design and from time to time they contradict each other. This manga WILL without a doubt succumb to power creep. Now they're talking about something where there's like 4 different people who are just as bad as the old bad guy but we're just never mentioned before. And apparently there are other vampire organisations that don't follow the vampire king that were mentioned once but never again.

MoMo the Blood Taker - Penguin Random House

This could have been an easy banger; in the realm of 8 to a 9. The premise is solid. The characters are likeable. The art is great. but the author doesn't understand how to utilise characters effectively. We see the king twice in 50 chapters. we don't get a glimpse at how strong he is. we get one interaction with the anti vampire forces. and we find out that the main guy in said force is actually childhood friends with the mc. but nothing else afterward, he's not mentioned at all even after the interaction. The characters’ designs, particularly of the villainous vampires, are really what I’m latching onto here. They are gnarly designs and the story gets into the blood and guts. The horror is almost entirely reliant upon the vampires transformed designed and a few panels of gore—but, again, that doesn’t a dealbreaker make. I would definitely give it a shot. Would recommend it. It is not the end of thew world if you didn't enjoy it. I’ll admit that it seems to be trying too hard to be edgy. But, that’s something that could mellow out.
