Mr Hunter is a true advocate of patient-centred care with an emphasis on enhanced recovery following surgery and prides himself on excellent patient communication. Areas of interest After completion of his training, Mr Hunter spent a further year at the internationally renowned Wrightington Hospital – a specialist centre for hip and knee surgery before taking up his consultant post. He began his career in theatre and, at the age of 7, appeared in the West End transfer of An Inspector Calls, produced by the National Theatre, at the Aldwych Theatre. His next appearance was in Theatre De Complicite's production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle in the Olivier Theatre and on its national tour. He later played the title role in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Little Eyolf, directed by Adrian Noble.

Mr Hunter is a substantive consultant in trauma and orthopaedic surgery based at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital with a sub-speciality interest in hip and knee joint replacement surgery. He is a clinical supervisor for surgical trainees and an honorary clinical lecturer for both Cardiff and Bangor University. Mr Hunter completed his undergraduate medical training in Manchester followed by foundation training in the Oxford deanery. He completed core surgical training in both plastic surgery and trauma and orthopaedic surgery before securing a place on the prestigious Stoke/Oswestry orthopaedic higher surgical training programme. During this time he presented at national conferences, published papers in peer-reviewed journals and developed a keen interest in teaching. He was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma in medical education and a Master’s degree in Evidence-Based Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. Robinson was most famous for his role in Goodnight Mister Tom.
