Particularly Barry Allen and Hal Jordan, who at the time were not allowed to "exist" in the actual DCU. They capture Captain Cold, who reveals the truth: The dream was fabricated by Luthor, Brainiac and Grodd to create a Legion of Doom and use them to destroy the Justice League. Also love the Satellite Years, and I really enjoyed the fact that it was treated like an EPIC adventure for both the League and the LOD. Justice” is a must have for anyone who loves the Golden Age of comics and who prides themselves on their knowledge of DC’s cast of colorful characters. To begin with there hope that some illogical aspects will be explained, and that does occasionally happen. The Justice League—they are known as DC Comics’ finest heroes, and they are prepared to save the world from itself! The second Alex Ross line to be released by DC Direct, the Alex Ross Justice Leagueseries is based on Alex Ross’ Justice, a twelve-issue limited comic book run that ran between 2005 to 2007. Geoff Johns would later work with Ross on a story arc in Justice Society of America that served as the real epilogue to all this, envisioning a future, one thousand years from now where it’s Superman, old and grey staring up at a sky filled with heroes. And between Luthor and Brainiac, they've managed to gather up all the random Rogues and set them on a path to take over save the world.

I love that Ross and Kruger included as many of the Bronze Age characters as they could (but then, I guess that was kind of the point). The story is weird, in that it manages to not seem as epic when reading it as the story intends to be.The story felt a little like one we've seen before, with some pretty hand-wavy resolution at the end sknaht ot annataZ but I enjoyed the journey and, if seeing that art on a tiny smartphone screen was this epic I can only imagine what checking out a nice glossy hardcover copy would feel like. It encapsulates everything I hate about books in general, but especially superhero comics: it’s boring, overcomplicated, excessive, stupid, repetitive, overlong, and extremely pointless. This series with it's incredible art and beautiful Silver age feel to the story stands out above and beyond the rest. Hal Jordan’s sent to some nether region of space he can’t escape from for no reason except to keep him out of the story.

All three titles launched within the same time period as part of a wave of continuity-free incarnations of popular DC Universe properties, though Justice did not feature the " All-Star" labeling. That said, I had a lot of fun getting to know the dizzying roster of superheroes here, many of which were new to me. Justice is a twelve-issue American comic book limited series published bimonthly by DC Comics from August 2005 through June 2007, written by Alex Ross and Jim Krueger, with art also by Ross and Doug Braithwaite.Meanwhile, Lex Luthor and Black Manta capture Aquaman and take him to an alien city located within a black sphere at the bottom of the sea, where he is left under the care of Brainiac. But even though the more treacherous obstacles are overcome too easily in the latter half of the book, “Justice” is a wonderful comic that I know I will share with my friends and not just because of the art.
