Description

The Daiwa BG 4000 is a powerhouse of a reel which has the capacity and strength to deal with virtually any fish you are likely to hook in the UK, and a good few overseas as well.

The heavy-duty aluminum bail wire is present in this reel. It is lightweight enough to carry easily. The rubber knob is great in hand even after hours of casting and smooth enough. In terms of the gear ratio, the reel has a 6.2:1 gear ratio. This gear ratio is best not only for small and medium fish but also enough good for heavy ones. This reel is ideal for saltwater and can be used in any condition. Ask a second person to place a pencil through the hole of the spool and use a cloth to add friction to the spool to stop it spinning out of control whilst you wind it onto the reel.

Product Reviews

Big pit: A reel with a long spool designed for extreme long-range casting by reducing the resistance of the line. To begin the creation of AIRDRIVE DESIGN, first DAIWA separated the spinning reel to two key components. The first was the ‘rear unit’ which consists of the body & key internal components like the drive gear. By introducing MQ technology along with the tough digigear which is now becoming standard of DAIWA’s spinning reel, it has given the rear unit high strength and durability. Another great feature of the BG’s spool is the line capacity rings. These rings are a great addition when you’re fighting a large fish as they give you an approximation of how close you are to the centerline of the spool. Bassdash Alien Carbon spinning reel comes in 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 series spinning reel. It has nice features and is worth purchasing. The reel offers a smooth retrieving performance. The drag system has a nice triple disc system which makes it more smooth and durable and adjustable too. It has a maximum of 15 pounds of drag force which is quite well for small and medium fish. It comes with a 6:1 gear ratio which allows fast retrievals and has an infinite anti-reverse system. It has 10+1 ball bearings. Powerful drag systems – Whether you prepare night sea angling or daylight, it involves battling strong, hard-fighting fish species. Daiwa and Penn Battle reels are equipped with robust drag systems that provide the necessary stopping power and control to handle these aggressive fish. The drag systems on these reels are designed to deliver smooth and consistent pressure, allowing anglers to tire out and land their catch effectively.

The body frames appear to be the exact same size and there is only a fraction of an ounce difference in weight. Big pit reels hold loads of line for long-distance casts, while mini big pit reels are great for general carp or long-range feeder fishing. If you want to use your reel for multiple tasks, a spare spool is a must. The Air Metal Monocoque Body is extremly rigid and tough and provides perfect housing for the gearing. This - in conjunction with the oversized, large drive gear - (up to 85% of the bodie´s surface) significantly contributes to keep the smooth and soft retrieval and gear feeling. Thanks to the oversized drive gear, the power tarsnmission is considerably improved - perfect for lure fishing with soft lures and braided lines on long and short distances. Even heavy loads can easily be reeled in. The older line roller wasn’t designed to handle the stress and tensile strength of the newer braid super lines. The more you spend on a reel, the lighter it will be and the smoother the drag you will get. You will also expect better line lay, which aids casting range. GlossaryIt is remarkable how smooth and predictable the drag system is on this reel, particularly one in this price range. Yes, as long as the size is suitable, as too big a reel for waggler fishing, for example, makes a lightweight rod feel clumsy, whilst too small a reel for feeder fishing will restrict casting distance and reduce the winding power needed to retrieve heavy feeders. This is where spare spools become useful. On a 4000-sized reel, one could be loaded with 3lb line for waggler fishing, whilst a second could be loaded with 6lb for the feeder. No! It’s not necessarily essential to use a special rod. One can use any spinning rod but one thing to keep in mind is that they must be saltwater or corrosion-resistant to have the best possible experience. Wrapping up!

If you're looking for a light reel that still gives reliable, smooth action on larger carp and smaller predators, then the Daiwa Regal is an affordable choice that's designed for performance, and engineered to deliver results without hassle.High gear is always important for fast casting and faster retrievals. The higher is the gear the large fish you can catch. The low gear is only used for the smaller fish. 6:1 ratio is considered as the high gear ratio and lower than it used for the small and medium fish. You can use more than one reel and it depends on user choice and affordability. Anti-Reverse Near the bottom of the reel, you’ll see a bushing that works to keep water from getting into the bottom of the reel. This seal works incredibly well at providing great protection from water and in particular, saltwater from getting inside and causing corrosion inside of the reel. With only slight variations in body size, gear ratio, line capacity, and weight, this series of reels from Daiwa may make it tough to decide which one will work best for you. Robust durability is ensured, thanks to an aluminium spool and handle, while the handle knob is engineered for soft touch comfort.
