Description

Heated airers are slower at drying clothes than tumble dryers but faster than radiators and non-heated airers. Superb lightweight design with versatile open-sided shelves that provide easier access allowing you to make use of the full clothes dryer rack and even fold some of the shelves away when not required.

Similarly to the comparable Dry:Soon models at the top of this list, this 3-tier drying rack can hold a 15kg load of wet washing, and operates in a similar way, although some reviewers have complained about the tight spacing between the rails which can effect the amount of air able to circulate around the washing and increase drying time if it's packed too full. However, our favourite feature has to be the fact that the SureDri's clever adjustable feet mean it can be used with one half of the airer folded flat so it fits against a wall – perfect if laundry space can sometimes be limited, or you only have a small load of washing to dry. She says, 'when I first bought the drier I was living in Scotland and it usually took 3 days for clothes to dry in winter on their own, but with the heated airer two loads of clothes would be dry in about 3 hours – and they're extra toasty if you leave them on it overnight'. hour so can't complain at the cost to run it although will be on overnight to manage to dry anything.Similarly to the Dry:Soon Deluxe, each drying rack on the Minky SureDri can be folded down independently, which makes it a great option for drying longer items like trousers, towels, and sheets.

Doing the laundry is a bother, there’s no denying it, and the quicker our clothes can be washed, dried and folded away, the better.Plus, the SureDri comes with a zip-up cover included, whilst the Dry:Soon's must be bought separately. The DriBUDDi can also hold more washing, offering space for 18 coat hangers as opposed to the Dry:Soon Drying Pod's capacity for just 12 items. Hanging your clothes on our Homefront drying racks is not only better for your clothes, but is also great for your environment.

Completely different from all the others, this is no good at all for domestic laundry drying but we can’t resist a quirky gadget. The item arrived earlier than expected [+ comment] - albeit 4 hrs later than DHL had texted [no fault of HSD] - 1 of the containers had leaked, potentially down to DHL handling [? A heated clothes airer plugs into a wall socket and either uses electricity to warm up the drying rack or uses a fan to circulate warm air around your clothes. It also heats up quickly, and means I don't have radiators lined with clothes throughout the house'.

Drying clothes is a bit like cooking – if you whack up the temperature, your garments will dry faster but they’ll feel slightly crisp on the outside. With the cover on top, the unit heats up to 70C, which means warm air is constantly circulating around your clothes to dry them fast.

More importantly, on this model the control switch is at ground level, which is a little annoying, and could be a deal breaker for those with reduced mobility or bad backs, and it's designed with cross-bar supporting legs rather than the deluxe model's side supports. Once you have finished with your airer it can also be folded flat for easy storage, which is ideal for use in areas where space is at a premium. Cute and compact, this mini version of the Dry:Soon drying rack is a great option for a smaller space, with its footprint and height both of a more manageable size when unfolded. Evenly dries up to 21 metres of washing, only 330W means it's kind to your purse and is even kinder to your garments. But, after weeks of testing, the Easylife XL heated airer landed the top spot in this review, thanks to being capacious enough to hold an impressive amount of clothing.First up, it's fiddly to assemble, requiring the screwing together of a frame for the drying pod to sit on and the balancing of a hose connector on the bottom rungs of your tiered airer (which even when using Minky's own Sure Grip 21m 3 Tier Indoor Airer, isn't a perfect fit). But it’s good if you’re drying wool jumpers flat and then dangling socks and shorts from the “wings”, and it does come with a cover to speed drying, which not all airers do. Simply attach the two parts of the base pole together, put the bottom end into the base, add three legs, plug in and power on. Its generous size means there's a good amount of space between clothes which allows for better airflow and quicker drying times compared to more compact drying racks. This electric heated clothes airer provides you with a new, eco-friendly way to dry your clothes - perfect for apartments and homes without a tumble dryer or washing line and is more efficient than placing laundry over your radiators which often leads to a build-up of condensation in your home.
